Hello sweet friends !
So ! Dear daughter Alexandra and her family are going back to Spain this Monday coming. They came for a two month visit, back in February ! The World shut down caught up to them here, therefore, they've been here for 9 months !
We were lucky to be together for such an unusual situation the world had to endure and in some cases, still are.
They contracted COVID too, and we did from them, as well.
We are all fine thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ and all the prayers from everyone.
So... we gathered around our new snowed flocked tree for gifts and things, specially for the little girls; Maxima 5 and Leonela 1.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas Season.
I'm so happy with my new 'snowy flocked' Christmas tree.' Always wanted to buy one, but never did.
This was my chance !
It's still a 'Memory Tree,' with ornaments from our first Xmas tree, (back in 1975) gifts from family members, (not with us anymore), than my little daughters, pictures of the grand-babies, etc.
I am very traditional come Xmas decor. You can see here what I mean.
The Living room.
It's not that I go 'all the way' with the decor, but this is enough for me.
Our Den all decked out !
In the mantel our singing Carolers and my darling St. Patrick Cathedral. I realized I had no batteries for it, oh well..)
At your right my St. Patrick's Cathedral isn't with the lights on, cause while taking the pics I realized the batteries weren't working anymore and didn't have new replacements.
Oh well.
At your right it leads to the formal dining room, my fav place in the house.
That tour will be posted next week, otherwise you will have so many pics to be bored to death !
The gifts here, under the snowy Christmas tree, were for the two little girls, sort of an early Christmas fun; because they're going back to Spain.
My Nutcracker collection.
I have ten now and it all started several years ago when my sweet mom gave me two for my birthday which is in October.
I always loved receiving Xmas things for my birthday, like the German three tier, wooden Pyramid hubby gifted me many years ago and the grands love to see it go around with the tea candles lighted.
The antique French foyer table is perfect for welcoming everyone for the Christmas Holidays, or any time as well.
We will come to the dining area next time. To many pics !
Another view to the living room and foyer. I placed the tree there because it sure makes us enjoy from all over the house we might be at.
Thank you for your kind comments, you always make my day !
Thanking the gracious hostesses for their great parties.
LOVE,
FABBY
Your home is gorgeous as always. I especially love your tree. I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving and Christmas
ReplyDeleteDearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteWell, that Monday for saying goodbye is finally drawing near... Hard for letting go, even more so during this time of the year when family togetherness is center stage!
But you know rather well that it has been a blessing, being together this long, regardless the nasty COVID interruption.
Your tree and everything looks very happy, it at least emits a joy that is palpable in this post.
Wishing you a final happy weekend together and God speed for safe travels for your four loved ones!
Hugs,
Mariette
So happy that you all recovered from covid. Love your new tree and all of your decorations. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautifully decorated. I love your new tree with memory ornaments.
ReplyDeleteI have my tree up with lights only. Will continue next week.
Happy to hear you've received from covid.
It's out of control here in Quebec, Canada. I am staying at home as much as possible.
Take care.
Thelma.
Thanks for coming to the party. I am glad you found me. It's nice to be back and have you back too!
ReplyDeleteHi Fabby! Oh I really like your flocked tree! I always wanted one too - but I cannot stand messes (I am a bit OCD about things sometimes) so I never had the nerve. Yours is stunning all decked out for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you had such a long wonderful visit with your daughter and I am sad she is returning to Spain - but oh my golly! You all caught Covid, Fabby? I am so upset to learn this. Thanks be to God in the Highest you are all well again now. This Covid is an absolutely nightmare.
I just learned today FOUR of my friends are in the hospital with it. People gave me grief about not leaving the house since March. But I haven't caught it. The only people we see are our two daughters and my grand - because they aren't leaving either. Gotta keep that safety bubble around us I guess.
Well I pray for continued good health to you. Big hugs.
Oh my goodness, it's all so beautiful. I am so thankful that I spotted your comment on the No Place Like Home party.
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful, as always.
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking beautiful, as it always is, Fabby. I am so glad that you had the time to spend with your daughter and the sweet grandbabies during Covid. That was really a blessing and something that would not have happened at any other time. Out of bad things- sometimes good things happen.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your hubby stay safe and well now that you have recovered. xo Diana
All looks beautiful Fabby - I haven't even thought about Christmas decorating yet! Sorry to hear you and the family had COVID but glad you all have managed to return to good health.
ReplyDeleteSafe travel to your daughter and family - will they have to quarantine on their arrival in Spain?
Stay safe and enjoy the holiday season.
Your home looks beautiful and festive for the holidays! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteFabby as conseguido una decoración elegante y cálida.
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteFabby, it is so good to be able to 'visit' your lovely home again! Your new flocked Christmas tree is gorgeous as are your other holiday decorations. I'm so sorry you and your family had to endure the nasty virus but am glad you all have come through ok. I'm sure it has been a blessing to be together during these last months. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season! Zenda
ReplyDeletehow beautiful stay well my friends and enjoy the reason for the season God Bless you and yours
ReplyDeleteMy last tree was just like that. They are so beautiful all decorated. I went with red and gold. Lots of red. Such fun. I think your decorations and your home are most warm and inviting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Stunning, Fabby!! Oh, my goodness, I am so glad to hear you are ok...that must have been scary! This COVID is so awful! Happy you've come out on the better side of it. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas decor is absolutely beautiful and I love that tree! We got our first flocked one this year, too, and I'm loving it! SO glad you and your family are well. Can't wait to see more of the dining room:) Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm. xo Kathleen
ReplyDeleteHi Fabby. Your home is so beautifully decorated for the holidays. Love your Christmas tree and the nutcracker collection. I am an optimist and love to see the brighter side of any situation. I am so glad you and your family have recovered from this dreaded virus. Are your taste buds back ? Isn't it such a joy to have your daughter and granddaughter for such an extended period of time instead of the two months that was planned for! My nephew and his family were also stranded with my sister for 3 months - instead of the 15 days that he had planned for !! Becoz his 3 children are so small, my sister really enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren - as you too must'av with Maxima and Alonso.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for sharing with us at Meraki Link Party. Hope to see you again.
