Hello sweet friends !
My sweet husband gifted me for my birthday last Oct. 20th, with this beautiful Portuguese china. He said he wanted me to think about him whenever I use it... he's so sweet.
I saved it for this year's Thanksgiving, as we contracted COVID-19 last June and we are fine now, hubby and me. It took Alejandro two weeks longer than me, but he too was finally tested negative.
Our daughter Alexandra and her husband Sergio are well now too, as they were positive also.
So there is so much to be thankful for, since our convalescence was simply excellent, along with our children, Alex and Sergio.
I am setting a table for six for Thanksgiving this year, my two daughters and their husbands and the two of us.
With that said, here is my thankful setting.
Wishing all of you lots of health, happiness, and blessings this Thanksgiving 2020.
God bless the USA at this trying times.
This is my birthday gift and hubby Alejandro surprised me greatly !
Isn't it so pretty ? Hubby dear is got great taste to pick this golden magnolia floral; "SPAL Porcelanas, Portugal."
At this corner I placed my tea set for coffee or tea after dinner. This set has also six teacups and saucers and it's an antique from WWII, American Zone, Bavaria and... I love how it goes with my new china.
So I showcased Mr. Turkey tureen, from 'Pottery Barn' last year, while I was in Miami. I love my big turkey tureen.
I will serve my delicious Pumpkin Soup we all love.
This gorgeous china came with a soup bowl, here... and a 'soup plate,' the wider kind. Very unusual, never had a china with two different bowls for soup!
My daughter Sofia got me the cute wooden, gold pumpkin napkin rings for my birthday
Salad plate.
I also baked a pumpkin pie that freezes perfectly. Some love it with a dollop of cream on top, some don't to save some calories, like me.
Thank you for your kind comments, you always make my day !
Thanking the gracious hostesses for their inspiring parties.
LOVE,
FABBY

ReplyDeleteDearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteWhat a bubbly and post with a beautiful table setting for Thanksgiving.
Yes, there were many reasons for such a Thanksgiving dinner for six.
You all are lucky for being together and for being healthy.
LOVE the golden tray you used here as well and Alejandro has good taste for selecting this china with golden magnolia.
You did so well with the mariage of the WWII china and the new!
Hugs,
Mariette

ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so inviting. Fabulous job.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful table, Fabby! I love your turkey tureen and all the pretty vintage tableware... I've never heard of two types of soup bowls either. Maybe the one is more of a vegetable or salad bowl (the smaller?) or a cereal bowl (what I always use them for!).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Happy almost Thanksgiving to you and your familia! Happy to feature your post at Share Your Style #281 this evening. <3
Many hugs,
Barb :)
