Christmas Tour 2-Dining Room & Kitchen

Hello sweet friends !

My oh my, Christmas is just around the corner, wow !

Alejandro and me are thrilled we will have all our girls for Christmas. Alexandra, Sergio and baby Maxima are arriving the 20th from Madrid and we will travel three hours to the coast, to my DD Sofia's house because our Sil Sergio is also coming to spend the holidays with his mom who is very old.

We feel very, very blessed from "Baby Jesus this Christmas 2016."

I am cooking away, to take dinner all ready for C'mas Eve. Turkey, sweet potato casserole, cookies, brownies, tamales, leg of pork our Sils love, etc., you name it!

Then C'mas Day we will all come back to 'our home in the Andes,' where is a little cold and rainy here... for Baby Maxima's Christening, Dec. 27.

It's gonna be a full house here and lots to do for the celeb, plus the reception
will be held in a beautiful historic hotel boutique, that is Alejandro's and our Sil, Serge's cousin. Yes, they share the same first cousin, from the two different sides of the family, lol..

Ok, here is our Christmas Tour 2. "Our Christmas Dining room and Kitchen."

Formal dining table and buffet with china cabinet.

Our breakfast table is flanked by two antique buffets and it's adjacent to the formal dining area, in order to have more guests sitting.

Welcome to our kitchen.

The open 'skinny' French country plate rack... some of you might remember hubby had made for me back in March and now all done up for the Christmas holiday.

I still love to pieces!

In the kitchen nook table is where we routinely have our meals.
A setting for three as mother comes to spend a day here each week.

Our everyday Christmas dishes.

My little coffee station, no biggy.

The bottom last shelves of the plate rack Mr. Living had it done for me to store all my tea boxes and coffee tins I love.

My cute Santa clock I bought several years ago and my grandgirls love him!

Our antique Egyptian side table with a Nativity inside the cloche.

Buffet by the breakfast area.

I love my tall skinny angel !

I'm so happy you dropped by dear friends and now my carolers will sing... "WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR" to wave goodby.

Thank you for your sweet comments dear friends, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MANY BLESSINGS to each one of you.

LOVE,
FABBY

Christmas Tour of our Home-Part 1

Hello sweet friends !

I've been looking at so many beautiful Christmas Home Tours, specially at "Marty's, A Stroll Thru Life." Anyway here is our Christmas home.

I mostly use my old things from so many years, that every year when I take them out of the storage boxes, they always seem so new and adorable to me and put a smile on my face with all the memories some carry of dear ones not here any more... 'every - single - year !'

That's it. I'm just sharing Part 1, the family room with our 'memory tree' and mantel. The living room and some vignettes here and there.

Christmas is such a happy and colorful time of year, full with glitz and lights.

I always say that homes look colorless and gray when we dismantle our Holiday décor. In the meantime, let us enjoy the fun.

Hope you like it.

MERRY CHRITSMAS AND ENJOY THIS BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY SEASON !

You're going to see a very traditional Christmas décor in our house; as I always loved the bright red, green and some glitz... starting from our vintage French foyer table.

Close up of the tree and mantel. The stockings are three this year, as we will have the three grandgirls with us, how exciting and blessed we are !!

The snowman one is our newest addition for baby Maxima 1 year old. Victoria 12 in the middle and Cayetana 9 with the blue Santa, she picked when she was 2.
I embroidered their names in each stocking and added some glitz to the old ones.
At your right, in the mantel is NYCity's "St. Patrick's Cathedral."

This is our family room where we spend "Christmas Eve and Day."
Next year I'm thinking to downsize into two smaller trees, one for here and the other in the dining room... yay!

I haven't changed much here for Christmas, except for the tray in the coffee table. The end tables have small decorations as well.

One hundred year old Chinese trunk that was my Mil's mother, Aejandro's grandma.

My Christmas tray with a German Santa and an Italian toy horse.

This is it for Part 1. The Christmas tree in the family room, living room and foyer.
Part 2 will be the Dining room, which is a big part of the house and my fav. Kitchen and entrance.

Thank you dear friends for your sweet comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MANY BLESSINGS

LOVE,
FABBY

Traditional Christmas Rosary Tea

Hello sweet friends !

Although I have my 'Bathroom and Walking Closet Reveal Part II' posted, I couldn't wait to share my November 30th, last Wednesday of November Prayers and a 'humble food' Tea party.

I used my classic Christmas china I have 25 years and my embroidered Spanish topper I have several years as well; plus some holiday accessories. So here it is.

I have prayed with my friends for all your requests.

I also wish you and yours a very blessed "Christmas-Holiday Season."

The red stems are antiques, they belonged to my dearest Mil. I did serve a little eggnog there to the ladies that came for Rosary prayers.

"Gingerbread Bundt Cake with Cream-cheese Frosting" from Pinterest.

I only 'outlined 'the bow in the wreath pan and put some more frosting in each piece as I served.

Mercury glass cake pedestal.

Some more candle holders and hurricane lamps, are also mercury glass.
My Spanish tablecloth has spent many a Christmas looking lovely on our Christmas table.

The china was a gift from Alejandro for my birthday, way more then twenty years ago. I have it complete for sixteen place settings and the brand is: LYNN'S Fine China.

I used as a charger the dinner plate from my reticulated complete china for twelve, because it's ivory as is the tablecloth

I usually set the table for ten, as sometimes we are more then twelve, or maybe just the ten.

Thank you dear friends for your sweet and kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

MERRY CHRISTMAS !

LOVE,
FABBY

Bathroom and Walking Closet Reveal-Part II

Hello sweet friends !

Ok, here is Part II - "Walking Closet and Bathroom." I posted the guest rooms Reveal Part I, last week.

For the ones that didn't visit Part I you can go back and see it; just before this one, where I shared the two bedrooms that belonged to our two daughters, Alexandra and Sofia. Sofia got married and Alex left home to live in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. Now she's also married with a one year old little girl and lives in Spain.

I am loving the bathroom and the walking closet, which again, it's all mine to store my treasures and some of my cloths as well.

It's helped me now that the Christmas season is here, as I've put away some of the regular things, to replace them with my Christmas Holiday décor.

That's said.

Remember, you are all welcomed to come and visit me, It would be a pleasure to have you.

We replaced everything in the bathroom, the only thing we kept from the old look is the marble counter top, as hubby wanted it modern looking and white with gray, so it was perfect.

Our two daughters had ample space for their personal use, they actually had two sinks and two bathroom wall shelves, which I left just one here and took the other to the 'laundry room.' They also had a pale pink big tub for bubble bath, but no more. We went with just a modern, practical shower.

The wall is almost entirely done with mirrors that make it look larger, except for the shower area. It's very neat, practical and economic, believe me.
It is not a small bathroom either.

Little Christmas touches for my Christmas guests; daughter Alexandra and her husband with little Maxima.

The shower is big enough and more to the left... so to make it comfortable for our very tall Sils. One is 6'2 and the other 6'4 !

Even in the back of the door there's a small mirror wall. This made it more economical and very pretty.

The wall and floor ceramic is from Spain, Porcelanosa; which is not cheap, but we helped our pockets go lighter with all the mirrors we had put in front of the sinks and we are loving it !

The "Ceramic container" you see with a hand decorated 'seahorse'...resting in the counter, was made at our former Ceramic Co. and it's to carry an extra "Toilet Paper Roll."

You don't know how I turned, layed down on the floor, stood up in chairs, etc.. to photograph this bathroom full of mirrors in order to not show up reflected in most pics, lol..

Now come into 'my' walking closet. I say my cause...now it is, hehehe

The left side, behind the entrance door of the walking closet, was for the girl's shoes and now I brought to store some of mine.
I have here my long gowns and some elegant pants as well. In the back there are coats and things.

The right side contains my various big bags, the small hand bags and the evening ones are in draws. Some draws also are containing tablecloths and many things for the home, you wouldn't believe !

Alejandro had shelves made for my treasures, where there were racks for the girls cloths before. Thank you Mr. Living for been so thoughtful too.

There's a small hall that distributes this suit. At your left is the door of the walking closet and a couple of steps further is the bathroom.
You go ahead and there's the bigger bedroom you saw previously in the other post and then to your left is the smaller bedroom.

This is the BEFORE pic of how the bathroom was, besides the wall shelves and counter tops were full with girly thingswhen the girls lived here, practically ten years ago.  Didn't want to show you more...uff !

Thank you dear friends for your sweet and kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY
