A Happy Spring Setting 2016

Hello sweet friends!

Since my  last table setting was focused more in the spirit of the Christian 'Holy Week' leading to 'Easter Sunday;' I now created a happy Spring table with pinks, greens and whites.

The china for this Spring spread is our oldest set from 1977. I always liked this 'Naomi Rose, Anchor Hacking' set which was for many years our every day and everything else china, lol..

Ok, with that said, here is my happy and cheery Spring 2016 setting.

Our first china from the 70's, 'Naomi Rose, Anchor Hacking.'

I formed each place setting with a white cotton with openwork 'framed' placemat.

The napkins and the runner are a set with big pink flowers, which sort of goes with the big pink flower in the china, as well.

Each soup bowl has a bird's nest with little quail eggs. The nests were a gift from a friend that made them for me with natural fibers.

The water stems are pink and purple, plus Mexican hand blown wine glasses.

The French soldier has a marmalade bowl, but hot sauce will be perfect for a dinner party too.

At the right side - Flowers, little candy box with birds, hurricane and bird salt shaker.

At the left side - Hurricane, vintage French soldier bowl, flowers and bird pepper shaker.

At center stage and flanked by two flower vases is my beautiful "Shannon Bohemian Crystal" cake stand with pedestal- made in Poland, I bought last June.

Thank you dear friends for your sweet and kind comments, you always make my day!

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

March Rosary Gathering Tea

Hello sweet friends!

This Wednesday I'm hosting the 'Rosary gathering for March.'
I'm using my very old china because it's delicate and has small little blue rose buds and I kept the centerpiece with the cloches, with the cross and birds in nests, as it is the last Wednesday of this month and it fell right after Easter when 'He Has Risen...' and I think it's very appropriate to keep it from my last Easter table.

Yesterday after attending Easter mass, a nun came over to me to offer me the Holy Cross for me to keep it for a week at my home, so my family and me can receive the Lent season's blessings. I am thrilled to have it right at home with me, I feel blessed everyday!

Here is my Rosary setting for tea and simple gathering.
I will be praying with my friends for all of the ones that have required, I will not forget, you know who you are.

Have a blessed week my friends.

The queen of this Rosary setting is my new all lace tablecloth I fell in love with and had to come home with me.

I promised myself not to ever buy another table topper, but this one screamed 'take me with you!' I will never listen to this pleas again, ever! lol

Love the lace topper!

I will serve cheese in the brass pedestal and the glass beehive is for honey.

Bread will go in the silver basket, as tea serving is very humble.

Here you can see the small blue rose buds in the china's floral pattern.

Cheese will be served here too at the other end of the table as well.
Along with home made jam and bread. Tea or coffee.

My Mil's vintage iron cross.

The finishing edge of the lace tablecloth is lovely too.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments, you always make my day!

Thanking the gracious hostesses for having me at their great parties.
