Hello dear friends!
Just got back from our 14 day visit to our DD Alexandra who came from Spain with her baby Maxima and husband for a short visit. Along with dear DD Sofie and her family, who live in the city of Guayaquil three hours away too.
We have enjoyed some amazing time together!
We went to the beach, we had great sea food and in all we spent some awesome time together... a super vacation, along with Mr. Living, of course, lol..
I'm making a luncheon for four and my inspiration was definitely the Sea, the beautiful Sea. I'm serving Shrimp ceviche in the shell bowls, Fish Escabeche which is like a fish stew and it's wonderful, a favorite of all.
Served with rice and salad.
Hope you are all having a great summer and that you also got a chance to hit the beach sometime.
That said, here it is.
Two plate settings are formed like this one starting with a straw placemat, a 'Surfside' charger, Big white dinner plate, Enoch Wedgwood smaller dinner plate, porcelain lemon salad plates and finished off with a shell shaped bowl for 'Shrimp-Ceviche.'
I arranged the side buffet with all white and my Meissen teapot with vessels along with other Noritake white pieces. |
After lunch we will have coffee or tea with dessert. |
Always blue and white. |
I also placed on the center of the bare table a blue striped runner, to set the other two places. |
Mother of Pearl serving spoon. |
I love shells and their lovely shapes. I brought some this time from the beach too and here is my centerpiece all done up on my small wooden bowl. Up front blue fish S&P shakers. |
At your right that pretty 'Spondylus' shell with pedestal is for the hot sauce and a 'Mother of Pearl' spoon. |
Hope you liked my Sea inspired tablescape for our luncheon tomorrow.
Thank you dear friends for your kind comments, you so make my day!
Thanking the gracious hostesses for having me at their great parties.
LOVE,
FABBY

Another beautiful table! You are so good with bringing your inspiration to life, Fabby. What I love is how cool and elegant it all looks.
ReplyDeleteDearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteOh, I sure liked your table but I'm feeling kind of sad for reading that those 2 weeks are already gone.
How precious such family time is and it kind of slips through our fingers, like fine sand.
Perfect idea for continuing at home in with the sea inspired setting...
Hugs,
Mariette

I love your tablescape! I live beside the sea and often use shells and coral and other sea inspired decorations. When I lived in the heart of America, in Ohio, I often wanted to decorate with them so now take full advantage! You made a lovely table!
ReplyDeleteHi Fabby! Gorgeous table! I love all things "sea side"!!! Really pretty! ;)

Fabby, Love the blue and white dishes. The bird on the oval platter on the all white set up. Is the bird something separate? It looks cute. Sylvia D.

Do I love a sea inspired tablescape? Sea shells have beautiful shapes. I use them on top of flowerpots along with my stone collection...
