Fabby: 300 YEAR OLD HACIENDA

This estate was built 300 years ago, it was from my MIL's side of the family, as it was very abandoned and there are frescoes, paintings on the walls that were also restored by professional curators that work on antique art work paintings and the owners, my Sil and Bil went through the difficult  task of having it restored.  There are also many beautiful things that I guess the family did to the hacienda while they lived there for many years. The buildings adjacent to the old hacienda were barns that later became living quarters as the family grew.  Now most of the original heirs are dead and their children and great-grands live in the capital, or other city's.

Here is the entry to the gorgeous 300 year old home.
Everything you see here has not been touched since, not the center patio, or the open porch floors.
I just love the open porches of the house.

The paths are all with this river stones as they were originally.
An old trees

Thank you for coming to visit my friends.  See you next time.

I will be linking to the following parties and I want to thank all the lovely and sweet hostesses for having me.

Have a wonderful week my friends.  Lots of hugs.

These are bunches of 25, long stem roses in each of the ones you're going to see and the way they export all over Europe, USA and Russia.   And here you have them...enjoy looking at all these stunning ladies!

FABBY: A Winner and Tablescape!

THE WINNER OF MY FIRST  "blogaversary giveaway" is Jacqueline of PURPLE CHOCOLATE HOME!!   Thank you all dear friends for coming by and signing up and specially to the ladies that followed me, although it wasn't a must.  Dear Beverly, from Pink Saturday has just announced the winner, for which I'm so terribly happy for you Jacqueline.  Please Jacqueline send me via mail your address so I can next week send you your gift.  Thank you.
A thousand thanks dear Beverly for helping me out  announcing it at Pink Saturday with my first giveaway.

I was inspired to do this tablescape for January with my beautiful  German vintage, hand decorated in pink roses, urn; some of you might remember hubby gave me for Mother's Day 2011.
And here you have it... my January 2012 table with my Spanish organza lace tablecloth, I used a pink one underneath it.  This urn is vintage German and hand decorated with pretty pink roses.
I used my pink Polish water goblets, paired with my Mil's French wine ones.
I used in this table my cobalt blue chargers because my Mil's antique china has pink and blue flowers in the pattern as you can see it here, on the dinner plate.

The napkin rings I used today are white ones with a blue butterfly on top. They were made by us too.
I also used my  tea set on my tablescape as it blended nicely with the china and I kind of like to mix chinas a little.
My buffet is decorated for a while, liable to change, with my Christmas presents.  The two big and great cloches are my daughter's I just loved them, as I never had ones as big as this two.  I placed my Chinese figurine ladies holding a bird, they are also part of the things I love....and in the center, hubby's gift, the beautiful silver, fowl cover dome.
The pretty oriental lamp with the dragon is an antique, as once it was a vase that was my Mil's wedding present.  My husband had it made into a lamp at our Ceramic co., since we did make ceramic and porcelain lamps back then also.
The buffet arrangement is done on top of my mother's, hand crochet runner, which is part of a set with a tablecloth for 12, a larger runner for the dinner table, a mat for the bread basket and a tray mat.  She crocheted for me about 25 years ago, I think.
Those cute little flower vases were made at our past ceramic co. and the flowers were formed by hand. People bought them for girl Christenings, for First Communion, etc....as favors.
A shot from the top so you can appreciate the lace center of the tablecloth.  Had I been tall enough you could probably see the four place settings, lol...
I made this tablescape with my Mil's antique china that I love, using my cobalt blue chargers, that were made at our former ceramic co.  This two elements are my main inspiration for my first January, pink and blue "regular" tablescape...although I did the one with the Three Kings, but that one was still a Christmas holiday table.

Thank you to the wonderful friends for your lovely, kind and generous comments, I do appreciate them so much, and to the gracious ladies that host such fab and fun parties, too.

Love,
FABBY

My parent's used to tell me that when they were small, gifts used to come from the Kings on the 6th. of January, opposed to Santa delivering on Christmas Eve, or day.  The custom came from Spain, as some believe that the gift giving to children came from the Kings taking gifts to Baby Jesus and little by little I guess, Latin America changed to the Christmas date we know now and  Santa delivering the gifts to the kids.. Spanish children still wait to receive and exchange gifts on Three King's Day, January 6th. You will see this on the cable TV news this Friday.  After Epiphany, Jan 6th. we also start to dismantle the Christmas decorations and tree.

Table in honor of the Three King's Day, Jasper, Melchior and Balthazar.
I placed our first Three Kings we had from our first Nativity set, the year we married, back in 1975... inside a cloche, to make this tablescape, as they're small.   The Nativity set we have now is put away in storage already.
"They brought gifts to Baby Jesus".  The crystal vase with the flowers is Czechian.
These elegant velvet, ornamental gift boxes were a present I got from a friend this Christmas.
Teacup, cake plate and teapot, all from my reticulated set of dishes for 12 I have.
I used as place mats this pretty, Swiss doilies that are part of a set with a runner... directly on our breakfast alabaster table.  I like the gold metallic threads brocade-damask with flowers, which are more pink in real light.  I liked the drama and glitter for the Kings table.

The tablescape for tea for hubby and me,  with part of my reticulated dinner set; teacups, teapot and lantern.
I made a small table for tea to honor the Three Kings, Jasper, Melchior and Balthazar.

Thank you in advance for all your  wonderful visits and kind comments my friends.
Thanks to the lovely and gracious hostesses from the parties I will be linking to.

HAPPY KINGS DAY 2012!
