FABBY: Victoria's B'day Slumber Party

Hello sweet friends!

Here are some pics of my sweet Victoria's 10th. birthday 'slumber party!'

We had a good time, the little girls were adorable and well mannered, although they're still children!

My daughter Sofia, me and the men worked so hard! Saturday we served them tacos for dinner and they helped themselves, so it wasn't hard... but, come breakfast time Sunday morning...what with making pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon... serving orange juice and chocolate milk for 14 girls, counting my two grand-girls...I was exhausted!

Ok, here are some pictures so you can appreciate all the work we did, lol!

The bunch eating tacos that they loved!

Tacos are easy and fun food, cause they helped themselves.
In pajamas ready to go sleep at 2am, lol!
Breakfast time, Sunday morning. Boy, oh boy, what work breakfast was!
The assembly line was really something else, lol...  While I made pancakes, Sofia cooked scrambled eggs and Alejandro microwaved the bacon! Our Sil served chocolate milk, orage juice, or whatever else they wanted...!!!

Here is this adorable group of youngsters that are 10 and some are going to be! Except for my little Cayetana who is seven...at your right behind the red chair.

Sofia bought three small cakes because some liked vanilla, mostly chocolate and the big cupcake was with 'dulce de leche cake filling.'

They had their cocoa in the morning in these cute mugs and they were a surprise for them with each girls' etched initials and then they could take them home as a reminder of Victoria's 10th B'day party!

Three small cakes...one vanilla, a chocolate one and the big cupcake was with 'dulce de leche' filling.

Our little Cayetana had the best time. She's seven!

Sofia at your left end with her best friends, they are the moms of the girls here. They left after, so we were on our own with 14 young girls...lol!!!.

Me with Victoria at your left end, along with some of her friends.

They're so cute! Sofia calls them 'the hybrid age' because they act like pre-teens and like children, all at the same time...she cracks me up!

The theme of the pajama party was: "Friends to the Moon and Back!" Sofia painted the pillowcases and added the name of each girl, as party favors, they could take them home and sleep with them that night if they wished to... and most of them did!

Here is the bunch outside the house taking turns riding Victoria's electric toy car.

My newly ten year old. How fast time passes by, oh my.
She's also a tall girl for her age too.

Sofia keeps her collection of ginger jars and vases in blue and white in this lovely European antique chest.

Thank you so much my dear friends for all your comments, as you know you always make my day!

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties!

LOVE,
FABBY

FABBY: A Yellow Summer Tablescape

Hello sweet friends!

I had four yellow rimmed dinner plates and four adorable lemon salad plates, so I thought they'd be perfect for a happy Summer's table scape.

We are going on a three hour drive to visit our daughter Sofia and her family this Wednesday, but specially to celebrate our oldest G'girl Victoria's 10th. birthday!
It seems to Alejandro and me that it wasn't long ago she was a tiny little girl who made us the happiest and proudest grandparents for the first time.

I know it's amazing how time flies, cause look, it's more than the middle of June already, and here I am thinking 2014 is still a new year; my mind works so slowly!

I will be answering your sweet comments again, after a few days, as we will be back home next Monday.

Have a wonderful Summer all of you and enjoy wonderful sunny beach season.

Joining Kathleen for her "Whimsy tablescape Challenge at, Cuisine Kathleen."
My tablescape is not 'that' whimsy, but with yellow lemon plates and some real lemons, along with sea-shells for a Summer look.

The yellow dinner plates and the citrus salad plates make a very summery and fresh setting, along with the green stems, and colored glasses.

Butterflies and lemons.

Here you can appreciate how lovely the alabaster table top is.

For the centerpiece I used a glass round vase with sea-shells inside and a candle.

The four mugs are part of my everyday dinnerware. They come in green, yellow, blue and orange thin stripes, as the one here.

I used these Italian sherbets mostly for a delicious yogurt, coconut and fresh fruit that's mother's recipe for a Summer's dessert... and of course, for 'ceviche' too.

I love sea-shells for a Summer setting.

Thank you my dear friends for your sweet and kind comments, as they always make my day!

Thanking the gracious hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

FABBY: Father's Day Buffet Setting

Hello sweet friends!

FIRST OF ALL, CAN I PLEASE ASK YOU KIND LADIES IN BLOG LAND TO PLEASE PRAY FOR 'LITTLE REA,' OUR DEAR BLOG FRIEND CHRISTINE'S GRANDDAUGHTER FROM Christine's home and Travel Adventures.
SHE IS GOING THROUGH CHEMO THERAPY BECAUSE SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER.
SHE IS SUCH A BRAVE LITTLE GIRL, SHE'S ONE OF THE TWINS.

Thank you all.

I decided to go for a buffet table for Father's Day 2014...opposed to a sit down dinner.
I used my 'Multiple Choice' mix and match black and white china to give it a masculine aura to the the buffet setting; among other elements accordingly.

Alejandro deserves it all, he has being a wonderful father to our two daughters, as he has given each girl their first home.... and he is also a great (awesome) granddaddy to our little girls.

Let me mention that he is a lovable and caring husband and I am so thankful on how generous he is with me and my love for collecting lots of things, specially dishes and decorating the house.

I don't think he's 'hardly said NO' to something I wanted, or the changes I wanted to make in our houses, except for maybe a couple of times because he probably didn't totally like it himself, as fortunately we always agree on our projects or things we wish to purchase for the house, or pertaining to the family.

Thank you my God for giving him to me, you've blessed us all!

May God bless your fathers, husbands, sons and Son'in'laws this Father's Day 2014 and always.

Ok, here goes my buffet setting in honour of my dearest 'Man of the House!'

Happy Father's Day 2014 everyone!

I bought a few years ago two different sets of, 'Multiple Choice' (brand) of dishes for four places... actually, for a Father's Day 2010.
I decided on buying two different patterns to do just this...mix them together and here is the result.

I bought this adorable 'shell rooster' on my recent coastal vacation.
I decided to use him as I believe it's also 'Rooster's Day' next Sunday too...hehehe..

A close up of my 'natural shell rooster.' I fell in love with him and had to have it!

I bought it on a town where the people are so crafty, talented and gifted with their hands in making such lovely things.

They didn't have any chickens left, so the great roos was just fine for me, lol..

I used this very different and masculine fern for a centerpiece instead of flowers.

I had some small faux-shells and I made napkin holders gluing them to an elastic. Only the White one is real.

Love the teacups!

I placed an oil hurricane lamp for a romantic mood.

Alejandro and our guests will be watching the 'Soccer World Cup' too.

Natural shells from our vacation.

Tea will be served from the pretty Chinese teapot.

I placed in the back of the fern the warm buffet servers.

I am using the hot servers with the buffet food. I might have to add one more, according to the menu.
I will always miss you daddy. Thank you so much for your love, you were my best role model!

Here is the 'bigger picture' on how I'm serving the Father's Day 2014 buffet.

Guests will grab a dinner plate from the right side of the table and promenade towards the back to serve themselves dinner and continue around it for a glass of white or red wine to celeb.

Thank you dear friends for your sweet and kind comments, as you always make my day!

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties too.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY 2014

LOVE,
FABBY
