FABBY: Pink / Red English Transferware!

I'm going to display some of my English Red transferware dishes here, in Alejandro's grandfather's English buffet.. my Mil gave us to take care. I can enjoy this vignette, until I get bored, as I'm often changing things around in this house.

I am totally excited! Last Friday I got I call from the European Antique Shop and the nice sales lady explained that containers came from Europe and they had a complete "tea set" for twelve in English Transferware, I had been asking them, sooo many times, I can't even count!..in fact I have a friend who's won me over twice in buying it..but that's a thing of the past, lol! Some pieces are "Staffordshire" and some are "Wedgwood."

Today I finally went and brought the dishes home with me.. 4/EVER AND EVER!! Here she is, my new toy, which I know you will like it, as transferware you either like it or not, unless it's not your style, than again...mine sure is!! They also promised to bring me next time the dinner plates and soup plates, or bowls to complete the china. I'd love to have it for Christmas.

Here is a simple table for four, as I just wanted to show off and play with my new "doll"... with the cake plates, two teapots, two creamers a sugar bowl and teacups and saucers. This set is for twelve.
The Teapot is with the design of "The Port of New Castle", and the little creamer is, "Little Morton Hall, Cheshire" and the tray is, "The Port of New Castle" too. I love all the decoration sceneries in them!
Flowers are crawling in the spout, neck and lid of the teapot and the design is, "Scotney Castle Kent", Staffordshire.

There are two bowls as well..the other bigger one is in the buffet. Their design, or transfer is "Historical Ports of England."
This teapot is, "The Port of England", Wedgwood and the little creamer is "Port of Plymouth."
I placed the 8 of the cups and saucers, 8 cake plates, or salad plates and the big bowl in my antique buffet, as the set is for 12.. and I just might leave them here to enjoy them daily until I get bored.
Here are four cups and saucers more...aren't they so pretty?
The rest of the china in the buffet.
The tray design is "The Port of New Castle".
Salad plates are "Cambridge-Old England", teacups are "Hampton Court Palace-London", saucer and sugar bowl.
The European Antiques' shop owner, who lives in Holland, and shops all over Europe for his antiques specially, promised to send me the dinnerware to complete the set.

I am so happy because I love the pink/red one and great for fall and Christmas and for everything, just love it! I know most of you have it cause it is easier to get it in the USA, but here, not much of a chance, except I was lucky and asked for it specially. Alejandro just called it: The English Olimpics China..hahahaaa Alejandro, my hubby lived in London-England when he was single for almost two years, so he is very partial to anything in ceramics, or porcelain that's English, as you know he owned a Ceramic Co. up to four years ago, therefore, he likes my new dishes too.

Thank you lovely and kind friends for all your wonderful and generous comments you always leave me.
Thanking the gracious hostesses for having me each week at their fabulous links.

FABBY: Cloche Party at Marty's Place

I love collecting cloches, as everything inside them looks fabulous and take a different light to it, even if they are the same old things from around the house. Therefore, there's nothing that makes me happier, than to join a Summer Cloche Party and since the Lady of Cloches, Marty is having one and has invited us to her place at,  A Stroll Thru Life, I'm terribly excited to link up and visit as many as I can..hope all of them!  Let me not waste any more of your time and post mine!

WELCOME TO MY TEA PARTY UNDER CLOCHES!

I gathered MOST of my cloche collection in the formal dinner table for a tea with  a yummy cake I made from: myrecipes.com Pinterest. The recipe is long, but easy and really delicious!
The dishes are Alejandro's favorite pattern that I designed at our past Ceramic Co., inspired in the Ecuadorian indigenous women's embroidered blouses.. and I called this pattern Carnations, as that's what the flower in the original embroidered blouses are. The design in the finials of the cups and saucers, along with the other pieces and plates is what goes in the collar and cuffs of the blouses. A cute basket under a cloche hold the napkins and cake forks.
The "Apple-Cream Cheese Bundt Cake" under my widest cloche. The small cloche comes from a set of four with four tiny spoons I won last year at "Marty's Cloche Party" too and the gift came from dearest "Chie at Chubby and Chieque". I use them with marmalade and butter.
A fresh cheese that we love around here, it's almost like a country cheese. The "Alfajores with Dulce de Leche" filling are totally yummy! I didn't make them, but when I do, I will post a recipe.
The other pastries under the cloche are called, "Quesadillas" and are sweet and filled with cheese, we love them for tea parties, along with the alfajores..they're both Ecuadorian pastries. The teacups are under my tallest cloche.
The blue sherbets are under a medium size cloche ready for a little cool ice-cream too.
Everything is set for tea with cake and pastries..so please come on over!

The silver spoons are in the creamer, under a cloche as well.
The Alfajores with Dulce de Leche filling.
I have some more cloches I haven't used today, but I don't have a wire one..if I can't find one here, I'll have one made one of these days, there are great artisans here in Cuenca.

The tea napkins and cake forks are in the basket under the cloche.
Welcome to my kitchen nook, where we can have another piece of cake and relax, talking for hours on end! This pretty vintage hand embroidered table topper belonged to hubby's grandmother and I have it for so long, because my dear Mil gifted me with it so many years ago, I can't remember when..
Oh goodness, I should turn the TV off as I just heard that awful news about the movie house shooting! God bless the families of the victims and my heart goes out to them. How terribly sad to hear this happen again.
These beautiful teacups are Polish, a gift from my daughter Alexandra last October for my birthday.
All my eggs on ONE CLOCHE...lol..
The fruit bowl with a mother-bird feeding her birdie, is also under a wide cloche. This fruit bowl was also made at our former Ceramic Co., Monte Turi.

In this yellow plate I served a piece of the cake, where you can see pieces of the apples and pecans inside it.
Thank you very much to dear Marty for having me at her wonderful CLOCHE PARTY AT A STROLL THRU LIFE. I hope you join the party too as I can't wait to visit you all.

Thank you lovely hostesses for the wonderful and fun parties I will be joining with my cloches.

Thanks my sweet and wonderful friends for dropping by my place, you know you make my day, EVERY TIME!!

FABBY: EAST meets WEST!

I wanted to start my partying Destination at Let's Dish, Cuisine Kathleen's with my Chinese tablescape..direct from Beijing, lol!!  Unfortunately I didn't have Internet for almost three days and so I'm very late to everything and to every party as well..I can't wait to visit some of the wonderful destinations at the party! Anyway, here is mine, hope you like it!
I fixed my Chinese tablescape with my set of Oriental dishes for eight I bought many years back, almost 30, in Bloomingdale's, NY City.
The dishes are mix and match as you see them here. I used gold place mats, red chargers and the Chinese dishes that are one of my very fav.
The soup bowls came with their own lid, which they can also be used on the side with the different sauces Chinese food has and for the deep fried veggies to dunk them in the sauces..  snacks, or spring rolls, etc.
We love to use these dishes when we have Chinese take out!..this way we can enjoy the things we have, instead later on the kids will, or might not even like them as we do...
Here is the other bowl without the lid so you can see  how it looks.

I bought this elephant tea set, also several years ago and it came with eight elephant teacups and saucers, two elephant teapots and five decorative little elephants. The girl figurine is a pair with the other pretty one, they are both "holding birds in their hands"(lol) and they both have dangling bracelets...from four years ago.
Here is the other lady with a bird and dangling bracelets. The wooden Chinese tea chest was my Mil's.
My friend Francy said that classic Chinese sign in the dinner plate means "LONG LIFE" in Chinese..isn't it great! Thanks Francy.
The elephant teapot with a little boy on top of the lid..along with the elephant teacup and saucer..they're so cute!
Hubby and I know how to use the Chinese sticks, so I didn't set any other flatware on this one.
I used Chinese fans for under the flower vase.
The hand decorated Chinese Secretary in the background .
Oops!..the little boy just came down from the elephant..

The mud Foo-dog under a cloche in the Chinese Secretary top.

The row of little elephants came with the tea set.
The little elephant train also came with the tea set. Aren't the fingers on the girl exquisite?!
I did my Chinese tablescape in my vintage French table in the foyer.

Your visits are one of the BEST things that happen to me in my days, so thanks a million for dropping by! Also thank you lovely and gracious hostesses for having me at your fabulous parties, I so enjoy linking too!

Have a great, safe and cool weekend all of you!

LOVE,
FABBY
