Simple January Winter Vignettes 2018

Hello sweet friends !

Here we are again facing a new year and hopping you are all off to a good start.

I haven't been around much thru the holidays as it is such a busy time, although we declined to go to NYC as you all know the freezing weather worked against our wishes and it was a pity.

We are going to Florida to meet our daughter Alexandra and her family instead and spend a few days together, since our vacation got cut in half.

Anyhow... I started to fix new vignettes around the breakfast area and dining room, simple ones but, not elaborate, specially using my blue and white favorite pieces and others.

Again, I wish 2018 be a wonderful, healthy and prosperous year for all of you dear bloggy friends.

I love blue and white in Winter... and all year around, it's so versatile.

My big English bowl with some snowed DIY pine cones.

I won the bowl a few years ago.

Tea serving from the pull out shelf. I love this feature on some antique buffets, such as mine.

Here I worked around my Friendly Village soup tureen and platter with a couple of white tureens.

January is a trout fishing season, therefore, I arranged my plate rack with salad plates and soup bowls from my fish china, along with some serving platters.

The service entrance to the kitchen is where the plate rack stands, behind the door and in front of the fridge.
I loved how Mr. Living found this 4inch. space, just for storing platters and plates.
Thank you dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

  9. I am so sorry your NYC trip didn't work out! However, it will be nice to spend the time with your daughter in Miami. I think that is about the only place in FL that hasn't had snow! lol

  14. Dearest Gabby,
Oh, we wish we could have stayed 10 more days in south Florida! The weather changed to such miserable cold and frost at night when we got home on the 31st late afternoon... Hate that cold and also the wet weather.
Your blue vignettes are so regal looking and it blends perfect with silver; love them!
Enjoy your special family time together in Florida and charge your battery/heart with fond memories...
    Hugs,
    Mariette
