Remembering Some Past Christmas Tables

Hello sweet friends!

I can't believe that Christmas 2017 is barely a week away  and thus the year 2017 will be over in less then two weeks and I'm so thankful to have belonged another year in the wonderful family of blogland.

Although I haven't met any of you in person, I feel I've known you for ever... and in a way I do, I see your lovely and warm faces every day when I open my blog page and of course your forever talent and inspiration, this been, cooking, decorating, tablescaping and specially your kindness and generosity when you visit me and leave me such amazing comments, that forever make me happy and it's the motor that inspires me to continue blogging, just when I feel I've lost my will and inspiration... there you are!

Thank you so much again.

I am sharing this week before Christmas some of my past "Christmas Holiday" tablescapes, there are many more as I am blogging next January seven years.

Wishing you a very Merry, Happy and Blessed Christmas along with your dear families. From my part I'm sending each and everyone of you my love and appreciation.

Pretty Pastel Pink Christmas Table

Hello sweet friends !

I hope your Christmas Season is off to a wonderful start. Ours is fine, as I will not be shopping, since we are going to NYC and Miami soon, therefore, I promised I will bring my C'mas gifts from our trip.

I created a PINK Christmas table for a change, as I heard a friend say that it will be a 'challenge' to have a different holiday spread, besides the classic colors, or even the glitz kind. It prompted me to meet the challenge and create this table using pinks, lilacs, the antique, pink rose china from my belloved Mil, "Czech-Bohemian" wine stems, my lace tablecloth with a pink topper under it... etc.

Even Mr. Living loved it and for been PINK (not his favorite) it's a surprise !

Here goes, you can see for yourself.

I started spreading a pink topper and my lace tablecloth on top as canvas for my Pink table creation.
The centerpiece is arranged with white pinecones and gold tree ornaments.
The chargers are my 'Natchtmann-Dancing Stars,' Bavarian crystal; because I didn't want to put anything that will take away from the softness of the pastel colors.
The china is an antique heirloom from dear MIL and has pink roses and I layered it with my 'red-pinkish' hues in the transfer-ware dishes.

In this image you can see I paired my pink and purple "Czech-Bohemian" wine stems, with the pink and purple water glasses as well.

The dark-pink pretty Orchid plant I won at a 'plant exchange' a month ago. Since it's quite tall I couldn't use it as a centerpiece.

Isn't my pink orchid lovely?

The candles in the table lamp are pink, the evening light makes them look orangey.

I kept the balance with my dear 'gold reindeer' juxtaposed with the pink orchid.

My dear Mil's heirloom lovely china, with pink roses must be more then 70 years old and it was made in the USA.

The wine stem in pink is "Czech-Bohemian" paired with a pink water glass which I've had them for a very long time.

I placed in the table, as Christmas element my Italian porcelain toy horse I bought so many years ago and it's one of my favorite holiday pieces I own.

Thank you dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

November Rosary, Christmas Table and Cake

Hello sweet friends !

As most of the friends that follow me know I have a rosary prayer with ten friends every month, here at my home and we pray for peace, the sick, the ailing and the countries of the world in the hope there are no wars ahead.

We prayed for dear blog friends that have their husbands ill, that may the Lord Jesus Christ heal them soon, however, nothing is impossible for Him!
Dear friends we have obliged your request for prayers, as you know by now who you are.

I fixed the dinner table for my friends for a little humble tea with bread, jam and cheese, but this time I baked a delish lemon cake for a change and of course I decorated the dining room and table for Christmas already. There are lots of photos... sorry.

We are planning to go to my hometown NYC to meet our daughter Alexandra, Sergio and baby Maxima at the end of December; we will be there a couple of weeks and then we will go to sunny Miami for another couple of weeks, therefore, I'm happy my dining area is Christmasy already.

Hope you are all in the holiday mood now that Thanksgiving is behind.

Happy Holiday Season.

I was so happy to create my first Christmas table for my friends Rosary prayers and thus to use my Lynns Holiday china.
I usually set the table for eight, then as they come and are more then I procede to add places as needed, otherwise we just stay at eight as it was today.

At your far left the best 'Lemon Cake' ever!

The center cloche contains a small Nativity scene to remember what Christmas it's all about. I had to turn all the lights off because the glare in the cloche  was very strong and you could hardly see what was inside it, actually.

I baked the pretty cake in my favorite 'Heritage Nordic Ware' bundt pan.

A close up of my little Nativity with the 'Holy Family.'

The cute little napkin rings were crisscross embroidered by my mother's friend who gifted me a few months ago because she wanted me to make a table using them, for my blog friends, come Christmas... wasn't she thoughtful and cute?

I will show her photos of this table, she will be very happy to see them in action hehehe.

I used a lot of greenery for my centerpiece.

My friend's loved the Lemon Cake too.

The breakfast area is done up for the Christmas Holiday as well.

Our heirloom English buffet done up with some of my favorite Christmas things.

In this other buffet I didn't move anything of the regular décor, just added my skinny wooden angel and my St. Patrick's Cathedral, which by the way, I forgot to buy batteries and it's beautiful all lit up... shocks!

In the kitchen my plate rack it's in the Holiday mode too.

Thank you dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day!

Thanking the lovely hostesses who have me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

Our Thanksgiving Table is Set

 mcv
Hello sweet friends !

As you know from my last post, we had an 'early' Thanksgiving for 24 here at home, specially cause our dear Alexandra, Sergio and baby Maxima were here from Spain.

This is our small Thanksgiving table set for four, my mom and maybe someone else.

It's a warm and simple tablescape, all ready for the big day tomorrow.

Wishing each one of you and your families the best Thanksgiving 2017 and may God keep blessings you and your families thru the end of this year.

I'm excited to join Give Thanks Tablescape Blog at, Katherines Corner  https://katherinescorner.com/2017/11/22/give-thanks-tablescape-blog-tour/

                HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU.

Here is our small Thanksgiving table for four.

I used the dinner plate from my green china and my sunflower plates for the entree.

Some mercury glass pumpkins displayed in the buffet.

Thank you so much dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day.

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DEAR FRIENDS, MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES.
