FABBY: Black, White and Silver New Year's Eve Table for 2015

Hello sweet friends!

My goodness, we are here saying goodbye to 2014 as fast as it came, wow!

This tablescape is dedicated to this New Year's Eve, that will be this Wednesday, therefore I placed a "Rooster kiquiriqui" to remind us when 12 pm arrives and we can start celebrating the new year, 2015.

"I want to THANK YOU ALL my sweet, sweet friends for all your visits and support and really, I cannot THANK YOU enough! "

Your generosity is what keeps me inspired and wanting to continue blogging, because you're all so wonderful, with so much goodness, which makes me feel that I want to know about you, your families, your new grandchildren, great-grand ones, your own new borns and all the prayers we send to each other in times of need and I miss you when you go away for a while.

We share a lot and it's not only the amazing posts you create, but you, yes you, are all my wonderful and awesome friends I'd never want to miss not knowing about, so you will have me forever blogging,  unless you all decide to disappear from your computers, lol!

I want to wish each and everyone of you dearest friends lots of happiness, love, good health and prosperity for you and your dear families.

This table setting is dedicated to you all.

                                ¡ HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015!

¡FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!

For my New Year's Eve Table setting and my last tablescape this year, I used two pattern dishes in black and white, paired with lots of silver, as last year's my NYEve table was gold and white.

The centerpiece was done in a black crystal urn, standing on a silver tray with white pinecones.
The adorable shell rooster is here to 'kiquiriqui us' when 12pm arrives to begin the celebration of the
New Year 2015.
The rooster is 'no custom' of any kind here, I copied this idea from ''Pinterest for a New Year's Eve tablescape.'

The tablecloth is also a satin silver brocade that over three years ago I repurposed it from my old dining room draperies.

My beloved pewter, first ever chargers and one black and white set of dishes, since I mixed and matched two sets of four, for this table..

This is the other place set in a black and white pattern as well. Both sets are from 'Multiple Choice.'

I know it's hardly visible, but the silver balls on the soup bowls have each our names written on them.

Champagne, water and wine Venetian, hand etched stems.

The flatware is 'Reed and Barton' and the four candle sticks are mercury glass...along with the votives, where the candle light 'looks blue' in the pics and I have NO clue why, lol!

Red roses and fragrant Jasmine from our condo's garden.

Look how  pretty the big pleats the seamstress finished the end of the tablecloth from my old dining room curtains I 'repurposed' back in 2011.

"I thanked you my sweet friends at the beginning of this post.
I hope you got as chance to read it."

Now I must also thank so much to the wonderful and gracious hostesses with their great parties that have had me sharing my posts every single week for another year that's almost over, 2014.

I am looking forward to joining the fun again every week of 2015.

FABBY: Tea Time and Cake Recipe

Hello sweet friends !

I baked and baked for presents and I this cake you see here is one of the goodies I gave away to my friends, but also I kept one for us, my DD Alex, Alejandro, mother and me.

I fixed a small table for this occasion.

I hope you like it.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, we did, although we had some not happy news as our DD Sofia miscarried just C'mas Eve, as she was one month pregnant. She's doing fine and is healthy, so we are happy for this reason and have so much to thank our Lord.

I used this check tablecloth red with green.

I did three cakes like this one for gifts and at the end it's the recipe. It's delicious and I got it from Pinterest.

I displayed it under a glass cloche.

Thank you wonderful friends for your sweet and kind comments, you always make my day.

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

A special thanks to the generous and supportive hostesses for featuring me at their wonderful parties.

Kathy for A RETURN TO LOVELINESS

Merry Christmas and a very happy, prosperous, and healthy new year 2015.

LOVE,
FABBY

FABBY: CHRISTMAS Kitchen Tour 4

Hello sweet friends!

Here is my Kitchen Tour, which now I am having my daughter, mother hubby and me for tea, ice-cream and brownies... We are starting the sugar fix these days for the holidays.

I am baking away for 'food gifts' too...of course, we try everything before I take them to their destination, lol!

Ok, here is the kitchen all ready for guests and for the most beautiful time of the year...

"!MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.! "

I always have to have tea in my red transferware for the holidays.

The Christmas sherbets for ice cream were made at our Former Ceramic. Co.

The friends that follow me have seen our sky light stain glass in the kitchen before with red roses, so it's perfect for the holidays.

This station is for the lovers of coffee, like my daughter...actually, I love it too, but I do like my teas as well.

I love the silly little Santa clock with skinny legs, lol (at your upper right) and it's one of the things that make me smile the most when I'm around the kitchen.

Some of you might remember that I explained that I have kept this old rustic wooden table for our kitchen nook and was from our farm, some 35 years old.
Alejandro wants to replace it, but I'm not sure.

My centerpiece along with the brownies and strawberries and cherries at left.

In the window sill some of my huge collection of Christmas mugs...I love mugs!
I have old mugs in a carton box cause really, taking much more out?!

Thank you so much for your wonderful visits, I love you all my friends and that's why you have made my day, days, weeks, months and this year that's almost over.

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.
Specially to the wonderful hostesses that honor me by featuring me at their wonderful parties.

FABBY: Christmas Tree in the Den-Tour 3

Hello sweet friends!

I've been so busy lately as you all know, this is a busy time of year for all of us.

We had Alejandro's family reunion, so the family arrived from all over the country and so did my daughters and grandgirls.

We had a fabulous time last Saturday with 58 members of the family, along with a bunch of grandchildren from all of us.

Here is my Tour 3, consisting of my decked den with Christmas tree, new tartan chairs and having a little tea by the fireplace. I don't have the fire on cause this is a spring type of weather around here, lol!

Here is our den ready for the Christmas holiday 2014.

The new upholstered French chairs in the tartan plaid are just perfect for this time of year, so I brought them here for the holidays.

A little Christmas setting for tea and cookies for three. The teaset and cups were made back at our former Ceramic Co. The design was done by hand, of course... and I found the pattern on a C'mas fabric I had back then.

The butter dish was a gift from my mom several C'mas' ago.

A close up of the Nativity in the mantel.

The Christmas mantel in the back. We enjoy C'mas Eve and Day, right here in our family room.

One end table with a pic of our DDs when it was Sofia's first C'mas.
She's wearing a little plaid dress I made for her back then and Alexandra a Scottish skirt.
My DD Alexandra when she was not even one.
My DD Sofia when she was one and a half years old.
My dearest grandgirls Victoria and Cayetana.

I came back to add these close ups of our tree cause the little girls wanted me too and 'I obliged right away, lol...'

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree.... Happy holidays my friends!

In the mantel at your right is 'St. Patricks Cathedral too.'

Our tree has ornies I have collected since our first C'mas 39 years ago. Many wonderful memories it holds and little picture frames with my own girls when very young as my two grandgirls when babies too.

I've also gave my daughters lots of ornaments and tree figurines and gave away some to a girl that comes to clean my house sometimes and helps me when I have company for dinner.
I've kept my favorite ones, the ones with the more memories and the gifted ones from family that I love and are no longer with us.

This is an English antique curio that belonged to Mr. Living's grandparent's with a three tier German Pyramid Nativity.... and a Virgin Mary under the glass cloche.

The curio is also part of a big dining set and we are happy to have the buffet in the breakfast room, the one in my header with the red transferware too.

The family of Carolers are always at the very entrance of our pent house apartment to welcome you.

The leather trunk is Spanish colonial and was a gift from Alejandro's grandmother.

Thank you for your wonderful visit sweet ladies...please come again... and have a very blessed Christmas holiday along with your dear families.

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their parties.
A special thanks and appreciation to the ladies that are so generous to feature me at their wonderful parties, it's always such an honor.

Wake Up Wednesday at Sew Crafty Angel and co-hosts.
