FABBY: EAST meets WEST!

I wanted to start my partying Destination at Let's Dish, Cuisine Kathleen's with my Chinese tablescape..direct from Beijing, lol!!  Unfortunately I didn't have Internet for almost three days and so I'm very late to everything and to every party as well..I can't wait to visit some of the wonderful destinations at the party! Anyway, here is mine, hope you like it!
I fixed my Chinese tablescape with my set of Oriental dishes for eight I bought many years back, almost 30, in Bloomingdale's, NY City.
The dishes are mix and match as you see them here. I used gold place mats, red chargers and the Chinese dishes that are one of my very fav.
The soup bowls came with their own lid, which they can also be used on the side with the different sauces Chinese food has and for the deep fried veggies to dunk them in the sauces..  snacks, or spring rolls, etc.
We love to use these dishes when we have Chinese take out!..this way we can enjoy the things we have, instead later on the kids will, or might not even like them as we do...
Here is the other bowl without the lid so you can see  how it looks.

I bought this elephant tea set, also several years ago and it came with eight elephant teacups and saucers, two elephant teapots and five decorative little elephants. The girl figurine is a pair with the other pretty one, they are both "holding birds in their hands"(lol) and they both have dangling bracelets...from four years ago.
Here is the other lady with a bird and dangling bracelets. The wooden Chinese tea chest was my Mil's.
My friend Francy said that classic Chinese sign in the dinner plate means "LONG LIFE" in Chinese..isn't it great! Thanks Francy.
The elephant teapot with a little boy on top of the lid..along with the elephant teacup and saucer..they're so cute!
Hubby and I know how to use the Chinese sticks, so I didn't set any other flatware on this one.
I used Chinese fans for under the flower vase.
The hand decorated Chinese Secretary in the background .
Oops!..the little boy just came down from the elephant..

The mud Foo-dog under a cloche in the Chinese Secretary top.

The row of little elephants came with the tea set.
The little elephant train also came with the tea set. Aren't the fingers on the girl exquisite?!
I did my Chinese tablescape in my vintage French table in the foyer.

Your visits are one of the BEST things that happen to me in my days, so thanks a million for dropping by! Also thank you lovely and gracious hostesses for having me at your fabulous parties, I so enjoy linking too!

Have a great, safe and cool weekend all of you!

LOVE,
FABBY
