Where I Store my Dishes Part 2

Hello sweet friends!

Hope all is well with you and you are enjoying this long Memorial Day weekend.

I know we, as Americans, feel very grateful with our 'heroes' that have given their lives and still do just to keep the great USA free and safe.

Blessings to them and their families.

As I promised, here is Part 2 and the last post of "Where I Store my Dishes."

Here is the link to Part I, if you want to see it too. http://fabbysliving.blogspot.com/2016/05/where-i-store-my-dishes-part-i.html

With that said... enjoy.

This is the same chest as above that dear hubby inherited from his grandparents.

We keep this piece in the foyer.

As we continue in the foyer, here is our 'Chinoserie-secretary,' where it also holds some Oriental teapots.

So lucky it has four rows of draws just for me to store some more tablecloths and napkins.

Here we are in the family room, now. This is the left wall cabinets flanking the fireplace.

The right side is holding our gorgeous Oriental dinnerware for eight that our siblings gave us last year for our anniversary.

This lovely heirloom Camphor chest keeps inside my Christmas dishes.

This is an antique English curio that it's part of the set we also inherited from my In-laws.

You can't see clear enough, but behind the curio's door there's an antique Spanish leather trunk, quite deep, where I keep Christmas dishes too.

This is the inside of hubby's counter bar glasses he likes for entertaining.

This is our TV small entertaining center and this is also in front of the counter bar where I keep vintage stems and lots others, as it is deep enough; even the reds and greens for the holidays.

Kitchen:  Our everyday china and glasses are kept here.

My new treasure, this plate rack where I am storing some of my fav platters and I have been switching around platters, so it reminds me of what I have at arms length, to use them.
The three big ones in the upper shelf, were made at our former ceramic factory.

Another Kitchen cabinet

By the sink, a small Kitchen cabinet

Around three years ago I had made two cabinets for storing whatever, right in front of my dishwasher and drier.

Here we are at the laundry room.

The other side of the china cabinet in the laundry room.

Open shelves in the utility room.

More open shelves in the laundry.

Here are the two big and deep laundry room cabinets atop the machines.

When I posted my Bundt Pan collection a while back, you all asked me where I kept them. Here they are in the kitchen inside pull out drawers.

Very comfortable and easy to get a hold of!

Thank you so much for dropping by and for your great comments, you always make my day!

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

Where I Store my Dishes-Part I

Hello sweet friends!

I've been asked by so many blog friends and people in general as to "where do I store my dishes" as really, you cannot see it at all, if you walked into my house, there aren't any on sight, I love to keep them hidden in the furniture pieces.

The thing I can say on my behalf is that I'm very orderly and organized, otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to find, or remember where I keep some old dishes to play and use them.

I do have a couple of sellers with some boxes of Holiday dishes, or some made back at Monte Turi, our own ceramic factory. It's not pretty, just cartons with dishes, not worth looking at.

I hope you enjoy it as I did photographing this post. Here is the storage on the dining room and breakfast areas: buffets, side boards, credenza, kitchen cabinets, console and curio... I used up every piece of furniture I own for storage.

Storage, Part I.

We'll begin by checking into the Italian china cabinet and buffet that is large although not deep, as the antique ones, but it has plenty of storage.
Here you can see it.

I even used the top part of this piece for some cake plates.

The left bottom side contains my reticulated china for twelve place settings.

The center part and the largest.
The china in the lower section is for 16 place settings.

The right side with drawers containing mostly silverware, some napkins and napkin rings.

Ceramic napkin rings from our factory in different colors.

Another drawer with various seasonal napkin rings.

Now, I love antique buffet pieces as they are so deep as the contemporary aren't, therefore, the more the merrier !
The right side with the Onion-German china.

In the upper level. Tea china for twelve place settings and others.

On both sides of the lower level lots of pieces from our own designe and made china.

This antique Belgium sideboard is again deep and large, so it stores lots of dishes.
The drawers store some more silverware and napkins.
2nd. drawer

3rd. drawer

In the lower left side my red and blue transferware dishes.

This is such a great storage piece, it's containing my Noritake for twelve settings and four others for eight and some water goblets and miscellaneous pieces.

This is an antique Egyptian console where I have some more glassware stored.

This is a wall fixture made specially for glasses, which I use for my best crystal stemware.
I also store my Mil's antique china in the lower part of it because it's for 18 place settings and more pieces.
There's a large drawer too, with the tablecloths for the round breakfast table.

Here you have it, Part I of my dish and china storage.
Hope you come by for Part II, I guarantee you, it'll be fun.

Thank you so much for your sweet and kind comments, you always make my day!

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY
