MY ASIAN TABLESCAPE.

One of my favorite things about the home that I love are Asian, or Oriental china, the patterns are always so beautiful and serene, all I've seen.  Here I want to share with you this set of dishes for 8 I bought in theMacy's Cellar, around 28 or 29 years ago on one of my visits to my parents.  The combination is like this, the dinner plate with the gold simbol in the middle, than the salad plate and the soup bowl with a lid...the blue and white is hand decorated.  The chargers  I used are my gold glass Turkish ones that somehow with the Oriental plates on top it has a look of a Chinese fan!
The little tea set with a family in it dates since first WWI...it's an antique, it's bone china  you can see through and weights almost nothing.  It has 2 tea pots, one big and a small one and a sugar bowl, along with 8 cups and saucers.  I fell totally in love with it when I saw it  in an antique shop I paid $225...I didn't care, but the lady gave it to me for $25 less... I love it!

The figure of the man fishing and the Foo Dog, I bought in China Town in NY, around the same time.  Lastly, the tablecloth is the one I embroidered for C'mas years ago,  I liked that it's red and couldn't find anything else around the house and so it turned Oriental all of a sudden!

I hope you like it like I do and if you visit,  I  thank you in advance,  it's always an honor to receive you.    Wishing a wonderful TBNOTP and thank you so much to Susan for the chance to be around such talented people!

GREETINGS.

MY ORIENTAL VALENTINE'S FOR FOUR.

Hello dear friends!

I LOVE ORIENTAL DESIGNS IN DISHES, FURNITURE AND VARIOUS GORGEOUS ACCESSORIES ORIENTALS HAVE.....I LIKE THE DYNASTIES, SPECIALLY THE MING, OF COURSE I DON'T HAVE ANY, BUT SOMEDAY MAYBE ONE SMALL PIECE.....WISHFUL THINKING!?, BUT  HEY, THE SECRET IS TO HAVE WISHFUL THOUGHTS!!!

I BOUGHT THE DINNER PLATE,  SALAD PLATES AND BOWLS WITH LIDS,  AMONG OTHER SMALL PIECES, AROUND 29 YEARS AGO IN NEW YORK CITY AT THE MACY'S CELLAR, THEY WEREN'T A BARGAIN,  BUT EXPENSIVE EITHER,  THAT'S ALL I REMEMBER.

THE GORGEOUS TEA SET IS AN ANTIQUE FROM  WWI ERA,  I BOUGHT IT  AT AN ANTIQUE SHOP...I TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH IT; IT'S A TEA SET FOR 8 AND IT'S  BONE CHINA, THE KIND THAT DOESN'T WEIGHT A GRAM AND IT'S TOTALLY SEE THROUGH.

THE RED TABLECLOTH IS THE C'MAS ONE I EMBROIDERED, I THOUGHT IT'LL LOOK ORIENTAL ALL OF A SUDDEN! I LOVE RED FOR VALENTINE'S.

"I'M REPOSTING MY FIRST VALENTINE'S FROM 2011, WHEN I WAS FIRST BLOGGING."

I used my gold glass and hand painted Turkish chargers.

I bought the china set for eight in mix and match pieces in Macy's, NYC while visiting my parents; more than thirty years ago.

Hand decorated salad plate and the lidded soup bowl in the next photo.

The soup bowls have a lid which you can use for saucers and spring rolls individually while eating your Chinese meal.

I love take out, so who knows, maybe we'll have that, lol!

Another pattern with a lidded soup bowl.

Look how beautiful the bone-see thru saucer is.

The antique Chinese tea set is a real treasure to me, as it came from England from after WWI.

HOPE YOU LIKE ALL THE ORIENTAL THINGS IN  MY TABLE AND HAVE A GREAT VALENTINE'S, FULL OF LOVE.    MONDAY-FEBRUARY 14, 2011.
