FABBY: Roos and Chicks

Hi everyone...here I come with some things that were made at our former Ceramic Co. and as most of you know, I used to designed them.  I have rooster and chicken pitchers, a chicken hatching in a basket with eggs and some other cute things...I couldn't display them as I have them in sealed boxes and didn't have time to start looking for them.  Never the less, here I am, hope you like what I managed to come up with for Marty's party by our dear friend Shelia at: http://notesongs.blog.spot.com/
The shape of this
The shape of this piece is colonial, it has 8 handles and it was used to keep bread fresh.  The lid has a cute chicken as a handle too.
This is the soup tureen,  the lid has a chicken with little chicks. The sugar bowls have one a rooster and the other a chicken.  The roos dinner plate and roos salad plate.

I have a set of six roosters and six chicken napkin rings.  These are hand sculped.
 The chicken napkin ring.
The sugar bowl lid with a roos........
..... and the other with a chick.
The lid of the tureen with chicken with chicks...so cute!  Everything was hand sculped.

 The rooster salad plate.
This three set of canisters were also made at our past Ceramic Co., only the decor are decals with gold.
I hope you like what I displayed, as I know I will  be thrilled to see your beautiful posts on chicks and roos...can't wait!!    I will be joining the following terrific parties as well and thanking the lovely hostesses.   Thanking all of you in advance, my blog friends, for all your lovely and sweet comments.     Love and hugs.                               FABBY

FABBY: New and Old

The Thai lamp was in the dining room before.
This is what the antique dresser, that was my hubby's grandparents, looked before.
This is what it looks now with the gorgeous hand sculpted, Foo Dog couple, NEW adquisitions.
Here you can see the female foo dog holding the baby.  (Sofia with the grands, left, we at right))
You can appreciate in the male foo dog's very intriquete work.
The beautiful wood work of the antique Spanish dresser.
The girl at the left is my daughter Alexandra.
A small chinese wooden box that was my mil's...sorry all the glare.

This is what it looks like as you come in from the foyer now, with the vintage Italian table and the dresser in the background.
The dresser is flanked by two French chairs I love, they're small, but  so confortable, too.
Another NEW adquisition.  This modern, very etherial lamp I bought at my daughter Sofia's store at  50% off!   They have gorgeous lamps, floor lamps, table lamps, chandies, etc.
The discs in the lamp are glass.  A painting of my granddaughters when they were very young.
The floor lamp next to the chinese chinoserie, or desk, which is in the wall in front of the dresser.
A lot of people have asked me about this chair...well, it was my mil's, it's an Scandinavian vintage chair, that later we had apholstered with (real, oops!) leopard skin.  I don't wear my fur coats any more, by the way... but the chair is here, as a piece of art,  I love her.
We painted her black, it was natural wood originally.
 The mantel vignette before.
The mantel now, with my hubby's grandparents, antique, art nuvou, French porcelain, flower vase, it has his grandparents initials engraved and they're just like ours, CA, that's why she left us.
My beloved mil, Eulalia, she passed away 2 1/2 yrs. ago at 88, she's here with my hubby, Alejandro...(Alex to me)
Bellow, the pretty NEW rice picker, Thai figure; she stands now in a turn of the past 20th. century, alcanfor chinese, hand decorated trunk, where my hubby's grandmother kept her linens and lace.
My hubby and I , while visiting our daughter two weeks ago, we went into this great store where they have gorgeous decorating things, trendy and classic and we both fell in love with this two hand sculptured, marvelous Foo Dogs aaand they were on sale with 40% off, so they followed us home!  Hope you like our modern touch with the floor lamp too.  I also hope you like the before and after vignette changes.  Thank you for your wonderful visits, I'm always thrilled  to hear from you.
I will also be joining the following terrific parties and thanking the lovely hostesses; I hope you join too.       Lots of love.                                    FABBY
