FABBY: Welcome to my Christmas Kitchen Tour

Hello sweet friends!

Hope you're all having a wonderful holiday season and enjoying all the house decorating, the baking, the fun and the children..be them our own, or our grands, as Christmas is mostly for them to enjoy and celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Ok...let's get in and see the tons of photos.. be patient and get comfortable!
 Come on in lovely ladies...

 The breakfast nook set for the two of us; where we usually have dinner. Lunch is mostly served in our round table, next to the formal dining room.

The cookie pot at left is where I store bread as it keeps well in ceramics and it was made at our former ceramic company.

 The window by our sink.

 The door with the wreath leads to the utility room, which I added cabinets for more stotage at the laundry area; a few months ago.

 For the tablescape in the breakfast nook I used the dinner plate and teacups from my big china for 16 place settings, along with this pretty Italian tree shaped, salad plate.

The pretty pitcher was also hand made and decorated at our past ceramic factory. I used to design dishes there and the C'mas designs I copied from a piece of holiday material.

 This ceramic cookie ornaments where made and decorated by my two daughters at our factory when they were little girls, perhaps 7 and 8 years old. They shaped them just like we make the edible cut up cookies with the same cookie cutters you see here! I hang them in our memory Christmas tree and there are more too, although some have broken through the years.

 You can't really see it clearly, but this banner I got this year and the figures hanging from it are made of plush and cushioned.

 I also found the Santa clock at your right, this year and paid $10 for it and it works perfectly! You can see my grandgirls artwork in the wall too!

 Everything here was also made by us in our past ceramic factory..except for the cheese dish with lead.

I think I did mention previously that the teapots here, were made back at our ceramic company and the sugar bowl and creamer are part of my huge Christmas Lynns Fine China, as is the platter. I used to design china in our company, which my husband, owned for 30 years and sold it 4 years ago.

I used my gold place mats to make the place setting more festive for the Christmas Season.

FABBY: A Hanukkah Tablescape

Hello sweet friends!

Here we are starting another week of December and the year will be over before we realize it!
I made this blue, white, silver tablescape to honor the Hanukkah Season, although I'm Catholic, but wanted to honor some of my Jewish friends in NYC and of course the Jewish bloggers. I used a pretty blue and white cotton tablecloth from India and my blue and white onion dishes. The Menorah was brought to me by my DD Alexandra several years ago from NYC, which represents the Festival of Lights.

 My first Hanukkah tablescape...hope you like it.

 This pretty Menorah, a gift from my daughter Alexandra is made of Lucite. The stemware is French from my Mil. The silver bowl I used here with silver, aqua and some green tree balls..was also a gift from DD Alexandra.

 The onion pattern dishes are one of my very fave patterns in "dish-land".

This Indian cotton tablecloth in blue and white is just perfect for this tablescape.

 The soup bowl I used here is Chinese, hand decorated...all nationalities, right? lol The chargers are pewter, to continue with the silver theme.

FABBY: My Christmas Home Tour 1, 2012

Hello my sweet friends!

I've missed you guys, since Thanksgiving I've been busy dragging cartons to begin my Christmas 2012 decor around my house and been busy with so many other things with family and so much going on in the month of December, sometimes it turns out to be  too much.. besides the fact I had to buy more space for my pictures, which it was a surprise to me, as I really didn't know..so ignorant, thinking posting my photos would be free for ever, lol! Anyway, I didn't over do my Holiday decorating and didn't even put away most of my regular stuff to create the new vignettes, but it looks very Christmasy just the same... I'm so late to all the parties and visiting you guys, but now I'm ready and can't wait to go see all the gorgeous decorations you've done!
I will also post No.2 Chirstmas Home Tour too, which will include the Nativity Scene and the kitchen...so stay tuned!

Please enter to the den, as is where we set our Christmas tree next to the fire place, so the mantel is ready as well.

Our Christmas tree started filling up with memories since our first Christmas back in 1975. I love to open the cartons and boxes and start taking out each memorable, old and older ornamnets. I gave my daughters some ornaments, but there's still so many!

The vintage French table in the foyer, which divides the living room and formal dining room.

I decorated my Meissen two tier with some faux fruit and real walnuts. I almost forgot that I also love the porcelain Tyrolean German Santa in the back drop. The round striped ball is also porcelain and there's a fragrant candle inside it. A present from my dear daughter Alexandra.

Here is the foyer and at the back drop the formal dining area and breakfast room.

 I did the living room's coffee table with the antique Virgin Merry that was my Mil's..after all she's going to give birth soon to Baby Jesus. She's probably 100 years old, if not more.

 One end table with one of my fav Christmas piece.. this Italian porcelain toy horse.


The second end table with a German candle holder Santa, which I should have lit it..next time.

 The antique Belgium buffet with a little Christmas decor.

 My Mil's antique English buffet done up with my red English transferware dishes and my gold reindeer candle holders, which are one of my fave C'mas items.

 A lunch, green and red Christmas table for four.


I bought four of these cute Holiday dinner plates at our local supermarket for only c/.73 each!

Mother gifted me with this adorable candle lamp for my last birthday, in October.

 I also got four of these cute mugs for $5 the pair.

FABBY: Cayetana's French Birthday Party

Hello sweet friends!

I've been here, visiting my daughter Sofia and her family because she was making Cayetana's belated 5 year birthday party. It's a long story, nothing important, so we'll just live it at that.  Cayetana chose a Parisian theme for her birthday as she loves poodles, although she doesn't have one, lol.. and along with English, she also learns French in school and she's very good at singing in French and talking, too. Anyway, it came out gorgeous, my daughter made everything to take to this club, except for the cake, which she doesn't know how to decorate, but I admire Sofia for been such a great mother, so crafty and clever, even though she works half a day, and all. The great thing is that we went back to a clean house to rest, which is just terrific;
besides the fact that this club it's free for the people who live in that condo, so that's also a great part of it.

The cake with the Parisian theme, with poodles in pink, white and black was just gorgeous and really delicious too..and Trés chic! Candy wrapped by us, is all around it in black, white and pink.

Setting her stage, which was so French, just like she wanted...this is where a magician did his show and the children just loved it and we the adults enjoyed it so much...he was really very funny too!

Cayetana very happy sitting in the middle of a group of her friends watching the show in her honor. After the show the children danced and won small prices for their skills.

 

Sofia made all the pretty trinkets for the cupcakes, the party favors for the girls and boys, and really, mostly everything else in the pink, white and black color motif and there were also banners in the same colors and motif, which she also DIYed...except the only thing she didn't do was the gorgeous cake...she's incredible, I admire my sweet girl very much.

The party favors for the little boys. There were others for the girls. Notice the water bottles all dressed up too.  I just helped her til 2am the night before..I'm so tired, it's old age too, lol..

There's, of course, an Eifel Tower too! Next to the tower there are the girls party favors with a black bow and pink paper.

Sofia prepared three tables with this pretty trays she also made with an Eifel Towers, filled with sweets for some of the mother's that attend the party.

Here I am with my favorite birthday girl..Cayetana, who's also dressed in black, white and pink tights and shoes.

Here I am with my dearest "little girls" of my own..Alexandra and Sofia, Cayetana's and Voctoria's mother.

Here is the entire buffet flanked by two Eifel Towers...trés chic!

Sofia decorated the adorable cupcake tiers with pink roses as well and small cards naming the items, some of the cards had Eifel Towers and poodles, which Sofia made...so very cute! The club had the buffet tables and pink cloths we used for dressing them, as they have them for the Sweet 15 parties for teens, which it's like the Sweet 16 in the USA..
