Hello sweet friends !
Today, was the last Wednesday of the month of February and it's when we pray at my house a few lovely friends and me and today they helped me pray for my mother's health.
Some of you know from my last post that my mother suffered a stroke that left her somewhat not walking well with her right leg and foot, plus her right arm and leg not functioning correctly. Otherwise she can talk well, but she is very depressed. I had a Geriatric Dr. come visit her and he was a great help. He suggested she walks with a 'walker' to give her more freedom to do the job on her own.
Please pray for her. Thank you dear friends.
I missed her today as this was the first Rosary she couldn't assist, she never missed it before, hardly ever !
Here is the table I created for this month's Rosary prayers and I used a lot of red and tried making it happy, as I too am a little depressed and stressed out, I needed a bright and fun setting.
So here it is, hope you like it.
I arranged some pretty 'faux fruit' and colorful tulips as well. I used my red transferware tea china because of the happy Indian elephant table topper. My mom would've liked it. |
Here I placed an ice cream sherbet bowl on top of the cake plate. |
My favorite teapots ! |
Dear Fabby,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your mother. This is such a trying season of life. Praying for your mother to regain her health and independence. And for you to have peace and courage as you encourage her. The Lord walks with you even in these difficult days. Your table is lovely, as always.
You have prayed for me in the past and I am honored to pray for your mother....what is her first name, if you don’t mind sharing that info.
ReplyDeleteFabby,
ReplyDeleteI will continue to pray for your sweet Mother.
With physical therapy and continued determination,
it is my hope she may gain more mobility.
Savor the moments. . .cherish the days,
for all to quickly they fade away.
Lovely tablescape for February Rosary.
I can feel the love and God's presence at your table.
Pat

ReplyDeleteWhat a cheery table, Fabby! I love seeing how you combined different cultures for a lovely effect. I'm glad your mother will be able to share in the monthly rosary through your photos. I know both of you are going through a difficult time. My mother had a series of strokes that affected all of us deeply. Know that you're not alone, dear friend.

Dearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteYour dear Mother remains in our prayers and tomorrow there is a special Mass here as the relics from St. Anthony from Padova, Italy will be at our Church.
It never will be easy to see a loved one struggling with ordinary things...
Big all around hug and your setting was so pretty and you put such work and love into it.
