A Romantic Valentines for Two

Hello sweet friends !

I'm sorry I haven't being around doing my visits to you as my dear mother suffered a stroke and now her arm and leg are not in full force with a lack of coordination.

She's going to start therapy and I have been her caretaker for a week now at her home. We have hired a mother and daughter who do care for the elder and they're helping me a lot, but on the weekends it's just me  so far, until I hire someone for Sat. and Sunday.

As many of you know it is very hard.
Our two daughters and families live far away, so I can't take my mom to live with us because the girls are always guests when visiting.

I did find an apartment to move her on my same building, though, which will enable me to be very close to her at all times, thus making my life and hers easier in every way.

Please pray for her. Thank you.

I'm sharing my small Valentine's for two, this time mother will not come for Valentine's with us. I fixed my stack of dishes starting with a gold placemat, a 'balsa wood' smaller placemat, a reticulated charger, the antique rose dinner plate from my MIL, a salad transferware plate and finally an 'entree' bowl from the rose china.

HAPPY VALENTINES TO YOU ALL !

Here it's easier to see the cut out "balsa wood" placemats on top of the gold ones.

"Have a wonderful Valentines dear friends."
Thank you so much for your kind comments, you always make

my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

Beautiful table! I like the balsa wood placemats, you know I like to work with wood, I might be copy-cat-ing those designs. :)

  10. Dearest Fabby,
So sorry to read that your dear Mother suffered a stroke and she will be in my prayers!
It is not easy caring for a loved one and especially when distance is involved.
Glad you found an apartment in your building, that solves a lot of the problems.
Nevertheless, you created a lovely Valentine's Setting.
Wishing you lots of love and strength!
    Hugs,
    Mariette
