Dining Room Decor Transition to January

Hello sweet friends !

As most of you are, I too am focusing on my transition from my Christmas decor, which is behind us now; with all the beautiful colors left behind, to a very simple blue and white mostly, or to a more traditional decoration for January-Winter months. I'm using transferware, blues and whites, reds, etc.

I have started at the dining room, which is what I like to decor the most and that entails my love for dishes... as you know !

I also love it cause it's a big room where our breakfast and former dinner table are and thus a few buffet and dish cabinets.

With that said.

I bought flower and plant pots for decorating my transition from the holidays. to January.

My very favorite, blue and white !

My antique Egyptian glass cabinet

I'm using real plants in this room for January, to achieve a happy feel after all the Christmas color decor is gone.

The 'Delft-Imari' bowl is one of my favorite pieces.
Our blog friend Mariette asked me about this lovely hand crocheted big doily and I bought it from someone for only $20 !

In this side of the dining room is mostly decorated with blue and white.

The right side of the china cabinet with my two tier, blue and white 'Meissen' server; another favorite piece.

Oriental big plant pot in blue and white as well...and wall plates as usual.

The left side here with my vintage English blue and white bowl.

This heirloom little console is at the entrance of our bedroom and is decorated for Winter with some shells inside a blue and white 'Dutch Delft' bowl, along with the antique drug store jar with some white painted pinecones.

The breakfast dining table is flanked by two buffets and here is one with my Oriental figurines that hubby gifted me for a birthday, several years ago.

My beautiful crystal cake pedestal flanked by a "Lady Carlyle" three tier server and in the other side "Old Country Roses" three tier and plate in the same pattern to match; that was also a 'Mother's Day' gift from hubby and daughter Alexandra - Madrid, May 2017.

The other buffet at the opposite side of the breakfast table and here I went with my beloved transferware pieces.

Some blue and white dinnerware, English transferware pieces.

The red transferware tea set I love, that also has two serving bowls and 12 dessert plates, plus 12 teacups and saucers and the platter shown here.

In the center part of the buffet is my "Friendly Village" soup tureen and big platter.

Another pretty flower plant pot for our breakfast table and my shelled roos and chick.

Thank you so much dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

  1. Everything looks beautiful!! Elegant and beautiful!
I think using real plants make the transition from Christmas trees and poinsettias easy and you still have live plants growing. I say that but I don't have a single house plant in mu home or here at the ranch! Go figure....
