Hello sweet friends !
Well, after our trip to Miami we are back home, happy although we are missing our kids, but specially baby Maxima who is simply adorable, talking in her half tongue and been a little mischievous. She sure entertained us grandparents to no end !
Our daughter Sofia and her hubby are coming tomorrow for the weekend with our older grandgirls, they are so sweet and such a delight to be with and have conversations as Victoria is a teenager already. Therefore, I baked a cake for them, for a bunch of chocolate lovers and grandma has to oblige to make memories, right ?
I also added my cupid couple just to remind us that Valentine's is just around the corner and I will bake a heart cake and set a table for the two of us.
Our 11 year old's birthday Cayetana, was last January 26, so in a way I am doing it for her specially. I will post a couple of family pics from Miami as well as Cayetana's birthday too. I also loved her cake !
Ok, my chocolate cake came out fabulous and delish, I recommend anyone who adores chocolate, as it is a very rich one with black coffee too.
Look on Pinterest for the recipe.
"Chocolate and coffee Bundt Cake with Cranberry Glaze."

The cake is in Spanish, it may be lost in translation when you look for it. Here is the link. Translate it all, it certainly is worth this very 'scrumptious chocolate delight.'
Really delish ! |
One of my favorite tea sets I own. The set is for eight place settings, teacups and saucers, dessert plates, a chocolate pot, a sugar bowl and creamer. |
Oh goodness! The first slice of cake was fun cause the girls wanted each first, so I gave it to their mother so they stopped yelling, lol.. |
Yummmmm Enjoying a few days with my little Maxima Cayetana on her 11th. birthday. Her mother bought the cake and decorated it in such a fun and clever way with some donuts... isn't it adorable ! Later in the day she had ten friends from school for lunch and to help her blow the candles and to sing for her 'Happy Birthday.' Thank you dear friends for your sweet and kind comments, you always make my day ! http://www.cookthecake.com/2016/02/bundt-cake-de-chocolate-y-cafe.html The recipe is in Spanish; here is the link and you can translate the entire recipe to make it. It's worth it, it's an amazing cake ! Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties. Your family are all so beautiful Fabby! How fun that you were in Miami to visit. That cake your daughter provided accented with the doughnuts was a really cute idea. Your chocolate cake looks so good and I love how you decorate it. I can just imagine the girls begging for the first piece and I laugh that you gave it to their mom to break their demands 😊. My daughter’s birthday is the 12th so her birthday always had a bit of Valentine’s mixed in too. I’m a long distance Grandmother too having my grandson an 8 hour drive away so I understand how it feels not being able to see them more often. Looks like you made the best of your time together! Wishing you a Happ Valentine’s Day!
ReplyDeleteFabby, that cake looks incredible! Wish I had a slice right now. :)
