Hello sweet friends!
I hosted a luncheon with family in honor of our nephew who lives in NYC and came to spend Christmas with his parents and rest of the family.
I cooked his favorite food and the setting for the table is themed Three Kings Day, as the 6th. of January they're honored in the Christian world. Some countries as Spain, Cuba and the Philippines celebrate with gifts for children and adults, just like we celebrate Christmas Day.
Ok, here is my table, still looking so much like Christmas, lol..
The pitcher at your right was hand decorated at our former ceramic Company; Monte Turi. |

ReplyDeleteHi Fabby
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table and I love 'The Three Kings' I tried to keep the decoration up for one more day, but I started to de-decorate and get the new year started. Tomorrow night we have an Epiphany dinner at church. Thank you for sharing a beautiful table and a beautiful tradition.
Joyously,
Betty
Happy 3 Kings Day to you, Fabby. I know a girl who grew up in South America and collects sets of the 3 Kings. I like that tradition. Every time I see a set, I think of her. '-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful luncheon!
I love everything about this!
ReplyDeleteI love the whole idea and theme here and the after January 7th taking down! You know Fabby - it just goes too fast and your ideas slow it all down to enjoy. Your table looks so love and I am sure your family time was enjoyed and appreciated.
ReplyDeleteHi, Fabby! I'm so glad to be back with you in blogworld. Your Three Kings Day Luncheon is lovely. I couldn't help but spend some time admiring your gorgeous tablecloth. I'm so glad to see your company name. Maybe I can find some goodies that you created on eBay! Happy New Year! Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteFabby, I love your Three Kings tablescape! So sweet. That Deer grabbed my attention! LOVE HIM! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteLooking like Christmas because it is STILL Christmas ahahahah
ReplyDeleteChristmas only ends in the night previous to The Epiphany, or Visitation of The Three Kings/Magi. Last night. Today we Celebrate The Three Kings' Day and although it's not holiday in my Country (it is in our neighbor Spain) we still hold lunches or dinners with special remembrance over the date and happening.
Although your table settings make one feel like it's always Christmas. So much beauty and magic.
I hope you had wonderful - healthy, happy, joyful - celebrations among Family.
Happy New Year Dear Friend. Keep enjoying and sharing Beauty in Life!
Love,
Teresa
I love how you incorporated the nativity in your table! Gorgeous Fabby! Happy 2016!
ReplyDeleteDearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteVery festive Three Kings Day table setting for your special luncheon!
Yes, we too have been brought up in that tradition, Christmas is over after Three Kings Day and that's when you put up everything till the next time.
Sending you hugs and blessings,
Mariette

ReplyDeleteYour table is gorgeous. It reminds me of the formal tables my sister always sets.
ReplyDeleteAs a child, we always took down the Christmas decor on January 7th and I like that tradition. But, when I was teaching, I needed to get all the decor put away while I was still on school break.
Thanks for Sharing Your Cup!
What a fabulous table. I've never heard of Three Kings Day! I love this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Have a beautiful weekend.
This is beautiful Fabby. I love that you made all your nephews favorite foods- what a great way to make him feel welcome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table setting and the sense of tradition and honor is so refreshingly lovely!

ReplyDeleteHurrah! So glad to see a lovely Epiphany table....not many people in the U.S. celebrate The 12th Day of Christmas, but we do. It's extra special because it's my birthday too! Your table looks inviting and pretty. Happy 2016 :)
