Hello sweet friends!
I wanted to create a fresh vignette for my vintage English buffet and I came up with sprucing up my white tool box placing inside it vintage English plates, mostly.
We also have GREAT NEWS!
Our dearest DD Alexandra will give birth to a lil'girl next 13-16th. of November in Miami, Florida! She now resides with her fiancée in Madrid-Spain where he has a soda Co., but since my Alexandra is an American, like me, she rather give birth in the USA.
My DD Sofia is going to Miami with her hubby because he is due a doctor's check up after he had an intervention in his spine last March to remove his 'stainless steel rods, hooks and screws, cause you see, over two years ago he had a spinal operation to implant all these spinal instrumentation, as some of you might remember.
However, after they removed these 'artillery' (lol...) from him he needed to go for a final check up as now his spine is mended together, but still he was in so much pain from this before too.
Now he is finally back to normal for which we are thrilled and we also hope the Doctors are satisfied with how he has recuperated.
Ok, to finish this story, here is where we enter: Grandpa and Grandma, us, are driving a three hour trip to mind the G'girls for about nine days and we'll be also celebrating Father's Day there and Victoria's 11th. birthday too; after the girls' parents come back home. We are so excited!
Here is my vignette, I was inspired by some pics of tool boxes I saw on Pinterest lately and perfect for Summer, I think.
Most of the plates in the box are vintage...rather, they all are, along with the ones on the sides of it. |
I love how fresh it looks as my wooden tool caddy with DIY whitewashed rustic look. |
A close shot of the plates. Most are vintage transferware. |
The tea service up front in red transferware is also vintage. |
A view of our breakfast area, table and buffet in the back. |
Lots of refreshing here in the breakfast room, to go with the mood and lazy days of Summer. Thank you for your sweet and kind visit lovely friends, you always make my day!
