Hello dear Friends!
Ok, looks like this week is going to be back to 'normal' in general. I even hosted our last Wednesday of the month Rosary prayer, last week, while I was still getting my house together.
I'm finally free so I can post some photos of our trip around the coastal region, called "The Route of the Spondylus" in Ecuador which we went with my dear Bil, Alejandro's brother, the owner of the rose farm and his wife Juanita... they are very dear to us, to be fair, all my Bils and Sils are dear to us both!
We people of the Andean-Highlands love the beach because is far away and lots of hours drive, that's why when we go, we stay for at least a week if not longer, like we did. When my girls were small, we stayed a month!
I will explain a little after some pictures...lots of them, lol!
"¡I WILL ALSO BE HAVING A GIVEAWAY I BROUGHT FOR YOU FROM MY TRIP!"
Please check out the announcement as soon as I find a hostess who would like to do me the favor!
Fishermen boats. The Seafood is amazing in Ecuador, and we have the best shrimp ever, exported to Europe and the US. |
The Salinas Yatch Club is near the private boats and it's a wonderful club with great food! |
My 'conch ceviche' and plantain chips to go along. |
In the back a shrimp ceviche and up front, a seafood rice with fish. |
Plantain chips to accompany, along with a pretty and fresh salad. |
Another lovely hotel. |
We were going to the beach which was right outside a beautiful walk and it also had a pier or dock direct to the sea. |
Here we are late in the afternoon taking a walk by the dock. |
Juan, Juanita and us. |
This place we stayed at was adorable! Lots of bungalows with two rooms, TV and a small porch inside and outside...we loved it! |
Walking distance directly to the beach. We would go for walks at the beach and to swim in the morning because of the light sun rays at that hour. |
Another shrimp yummy dish. |
A light sea-bass dish. |
Me with my dear In law's |
Alejandro and Juan, his older brother; but they both have an eldest bro too. |
We visited a young artist couple that live by a beach area, all year round, very secluded as artists tend to like! They have a fabulous modern home! |
Here I am with my young friend. They used to live in the Andean city of Cuenca, where we live and we know their parents. |
We spent the last three days before driving back home at my Bil's and his wife's high rise apartment at the resort of Salinas, which is simply gorgeous! |
A view from the window. |
My Sil's beautiful shell collection and some with interesting shapes. |
I love beach sunsets! |

Too many pictures? No No-my friend! I just love ALL those pictures! What a wonderful trip with you lovely in-laws, Fabby. EVERY place you stayed was just gorgeous. I like going "after season", too, when the kids are back in school and the tourist season is quieter.
ReplyDeleteYour seas are gorgeous---and it makes me miss living by the ocean so much. There is nothing like a sunset over the ocean, is there?
Wonderful pictures of you, family and friends. Welcome back to blogging! xo Diana
That was a wonderful short tour Fabby! I say short because I know you have a lot more pictures than what you shared, but I enjoyed the ones you showed here - just lovely! All the food pics made me hungry by the way, and you know with my condition, I can practically eat a horse at this point! LOL! I can't wait to see more photos of your lovely country and beaches dear. Keep 'em coming!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful vacation, Fabby!!! The resorts where stayed were beautiful! The food looked absolutely delicious!! (I thought I was the only one who took pictures of our meals! LOL!) I'm so glad you and your family were able to have such a lovely time together. Wonderful memories! Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Ceviche! Yumm! What beautiful photographs! It looks like you had a fabulous time!
ReplyDeleteOh Fabby, what a glorious time you had. I am so glad you shared so many pictures. Each place you stayed was wonderful but I am pretty sure I would have most liked the one you mentioned that had the little bungalows.
ReplyDeleteAnd the food. Oh my. I was getting hungry just looking.
I could have easily looked at twice as many pictures...all beautiful, and a very enjoyable post to read! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful trip! You lucky girl! :) love all your pics.
ReplyDeleteWow what a lovely vacation you had Fabby. It's so beautiful there and the food looked amazing! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Thank you so much for sharing and for all the wonderful photos, too.
Also, Fabby, I wanted to thank you for your kind words over the loss of my beloved Honey Cat. Will never ever ever stop missing her. Susan
Que linda te ves en esa foto... feliz. Y que lugar tan expectacular y la comida... que hambre me dio! ;)
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo

Oh Fabby!!! I love all the pictures. What a beautiful place. I think the bungalows would have been my second favorite compared to your in-laws place. I am glad you had such a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteDearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you had a fabulous time together as family with yummy seafood. Looks very much like you were in Paradise!
It made me sad when I saw Juan's CoolPix... Pieter lost his in Miami, misplaced it on top of the safe at our Hyatt House apartment when we were leaving. When I called later, it was nowhere to be found. Sad as also our photos with friends were on it. There are also less honest people on this planet, regardless if there is a name and address on the camera.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
So may photos but not nearly enough to picture such a delightful and charming trip and the people in it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Makes me want to pack and leave.
You were missed but now that you're back I know I missed you even more than I realized. Welcome back! And thank you for sharing!!!
Teresa
Beautiful pictures Fabby. Sounds like you had a lot of fun. :)

Oh, what a fabulous trip you had! Everything looks beautiful, from the beaches to the food! It's nice that you have warm water too! Our Michigan lakes are cold to swim in! So glad you had a wonderful vacation, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow, Fabby! What a trip that was! I know you loved every minute of it, and coming back home must have been a little hard to do. It's always nice to visit fun new places! Every hotel was beautiful, and the really colorful one looked like somewhere it would be really fun to stay!
ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting to me how food is so different in different parts of the world. I like the way that salad was presented. I think I'm going to do that in the future just for kicks. It's a nice way to easily identify all of the ingredients, and it's just pretty. Here the ingredients generally come to the table already tossed together.
You look so pretty! I'm glad you and Alejandro were able to travel together and enjoy the time!
Have a beautiful week!
Looks like a beautiful place to visit!
ReplyDeleteAll of your photos are fantastic! From the scenery to the seafood, it looks like an amazing and relaxing vacation.
