Hello sweet friends!
I want to start by thanking you so much for your great and generous comments on our trip to Florida. I am still catching up with you my friends, as I just had to be absent from blogland again for a couple of days, because I had to be present and went by plane's distance, for a beloved aunt's funeral..one of dad's youngest sister and it took place in another town. She lost the battle of stomach Cancer... she was 79.
My table is in honor of my dearest country too...The United States of America. I bought from Florida these cute star plates for 99 cts. each at Michaels. I also used my red transferware salad plates and a lovely blue dinner plates with red carnations made back at our company and finally red chargers. I hope you like it.
I also pray and wish the USA be safe and be blessed by our Lord, for ever!
Wishing all of you my friends in the US a happy, safe and to enjoy a terrific 4th. of July weekend.
Have fun and eat yummy food too!
I will also be joining lovely Alison for her great party at FAVORITES ON THE FIRST at, http://thepolohouse
She is having a patriotic challenge on July 1, 2013.
I placed inside the crystal vase a few limes, flags and my Bil's beautiful red and white roses. |
Banana cupcakes and berries in the sherbets. |
I love the star plates...here's one with the flag... |
another plate with little white stars... |
another with red stripes... |
..love this one with the red and blue stars too. I placed in each a blue sherbet with red, yummy strawberries. |
I thought the blue framed dinner plates, made back at our company, hand decorated in a doily fashion with red carnations, where just perfect for my Patriotic setting. |
I paired the blue dinner plates with the red salad English Transferware plates. |
The cutest star plates I just got from my trip to Florida. |
Finally, I topped all the plate layers with blue sherbets. |
Some more blue and red banana cupcakes. |
The setting is by 'blue' candle light since I arranged it in the evening. |
Happy Fourth of July to all of you! Thank you my friends for visiting and for your sweet and lovely comments, as they always make my day! I thank the lovely ladies for the wonderful parties they host each week. LOVE, FABBY Here is my sweet Victoria wearing proudly her patriotic blouse, shorts and star necklease. Those star plates are really terrific! I love it that they come in several different patterns! I would love to find some of those to add to my collection.
ReplyDeleteBanana cupcakes? Those sound pretty good! I'm sitting here now sucking on a strawberry/banana shake. I can't eat bananas straight out of the peel (makes me gag!), but I do love them in things.
I'm really, really sorry to hear about your aunt. Stomach cancer is just awful, and I hope the poor dear didn't have to suffer. I hope that someday that bad old cancer can just be blown off the face of this earth!!! It's what took my Daddy's life, too, and I hate it!!!

They hold a special place in our hearts, and I hope the memories you have of yours will bring you comfort. Just tonight, believe it or not, I was thinking about you (again), because I've been absent from blogland myself, so I didn't know you had been too, and I was thinking I would email you to check in and say hello, then I found your beautiful post (as always). Your star dishes are perfect for your perfect table, and the deep blue compotes are beautiful! Oh, and the most beautiful? That darling Victoria! She is just too, too cute (tell her I said so!).
