Goodness, been a mother is hard work!! I forgot how it was, lol!
I'm so happy everything is well with our Sil, he's doing great since the spine surgery, they've even gone out to dinner at a wonderful Italian restaurant at the first floor of the building they're in.
My daughter Sofia bought these six adorable, German antique teacups at an antique shop here in her town. They just say Germany in the back. I loved them too and I don't even want to go browse around that store myself, caz they have stunning things, believe me! Knowing me I'll go home with stuff and I made a promise I will not buy for a good while...heheheee
The tea tablescape at Sofia's porch. I used a pretty lace topper I gave her a few years back.
I like the tablecloth I gave her..lol
Aren't the polka dot teacups with color inside just adorable! I loved them when I saw them, I hadn't til now, myself.
Yummy honey cake with raisins her maid knows how to make and some sweets I bought.
The grandmas, we had coffee and the great-grands had tea...heheheee..
I love this pillow with birds and parrots in beautiful vivid colors and sequens.
I love her porch by her pretty garden and pool.
There's the huge and fabulous maritime river in the background...it is beautiful around here and even though it's 85-90 degrees, there's a great breeze!
I made this tea tablescape at Sofia's porch, near her garden and pool...it is so hot here, like 90! I like warm, but I really hate the very hot weather, I remain a lot by the air condition!!
I'll be late at Let's Dish and Tablescape Thursday, but been a MOTHER is kinda hard work, lol!!
Thank you lovely, kind and sweet ladies for your good wishes and wonderful visits which always make my day! I also want to thank the wonderful and generous hostesses that welcome me with my tablescape and many other posts.

Dearest Fabby, The cups are darling! Though they are antique, they seem fitting in this day and age. Would be fun to use.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are gorgeous! Lovely post.
May your sil get all better. God bless you all.
Thank you for visiting Home Haven and giving sweet comments! Good to hear from you.

Fabby-What a beautiful table you set al fresco. I love it. Those little tea cups are just darling. I have never seen any like them. I drink coffee but looking at those makes me want to drink tea.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your sil is doing so well. God has blessed him and your family. I hope he continues to heal at a fast pace.
I just put our little SweetCheeks to bed-she is here for the night and part of the day tomorrow. She is going to help me "garden". I think that means she will be squirting me with a hose!
Have a wonderful night- xo Diana
Fabby, those cups are darling!!! So happy your SIL is doing so well. Your daughter's home is lovely. I love the lace topper. Have fun with the kids and don't over do.. have a wonderful weekend xo marlis
ReplyDeleteHi Fabby,
ReplyDeletethe tea cups are cute and make a wonderful table. I can imagine how relaxing your coffee/teatime was. The garden looks really inviting. To have there a space for tea is precious.
Best greeetings, Johanna

I so want to be a guest on your tables! Bellissimo!
ReplyDeleteFabby - I'd stay away from that store, too! If these teacups are an example of what's in that store, it would be a dangerous place indeed. They are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear your son-in-law is doing well.
Good news all around. Stay cool!
Well, you certainly have a beautiful spot for "being a mother"! It sounds like your grandchildren have had plenty of attention....and the setting for tea is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The polka-dotted tea set is charming. (And the sweets look very, very tempting.)
I love the teacups! You made the table look so inviting! I want to dive into that pool, it is beautiful! Glad SIL is doing so well. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteDear Fabby...what darling little cups and saucers your daughter found at an antique shop locally!! The tablescape you made outside by her pool is lovely. I like the lace table cloth you gifted
ReplyDeleteher with...the roses really show up
in it, dont they?
I am sure the grandmothers and great-grand-mothers enjoyed their coffee/tea out by that gorgeous pool and yard, and the maritime river running behind the yard is quite pretty...your daughter and her family live in a wonderful area
The little girls must be having a "ball", as we say, with all of the attention from their "grands"....how fun!!
I am happy to hear your SIL is recuperating smoothly and I hope your daughter can bring him back home soon. I know having you caring for the little girls is a burden removed from her mind....mothers always take the BEST care of our babies!!
My own hubby came home from the hospital Tuesday and we made a room for him downstairs to finish his recuperation. I think being home is the best medicine for
our fellas, don't you??
Have a happy weekend and enjoy the girls!!
Fond hugs and love, Francy

Hi Fabby,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm LATE getting around. The comment buttons on SOME BLOGS are missing. BUT, "I'M HERE NOW" and "WOW, I want to join you! Those cups are GORGEOUS and in that setting, the table is breathtaking. I "LOVE" that pillow with the birds too. AND that POOL, looks so refreshing(I like the design with the scallop for the tree stand).
I DO NOT like HOT WEATHER either. We get TOO HUMID here in New England. It's hard to MOVE in the heat of summer. We are have cool temps at the moment BUT, as you know, that can change OVERNIGHT!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Big Hugs,
Donna
