Congratulations to Beverly on the third anniversary of this great party, "Pink Saturday"... and thank you for hosting it every week!
The tablecloth is made by hand in Bruxels, Belgium...I bought it, in the late 80's, thinking of my oldest daughter's First Communion, eventually. I used a plain pink one under it.
This pretty bowl for candy, or chocolates, was made in our former Ceramic Co., it has a hand made bird with pinks.
The rose candle holder was hand made at our former Ceramic Co. The crystal candle stick is Chzeck, Bohemian.
You can see up front the serving pieces, everything comes in pairs, as this china has 16 place settings.
The back of the girl showing her black braids.
The center piece is a porcelain Tureen also made at our former Ceramic Co.
This woven, ceramic basket with pink florets was made by us too, in the 80's.
The layers of dishes. The charger is hand painted in Turkey.
Here is the dinner and salad plate...you can see the flowers and buds in pink, it also has the borders in brown and gold.
This pretty figurine of a native girl, carrying a bucket of water, was hand made by an artist we had in the 80's working for us. The girl is wearing an "embroidered blouse and pink skirt"...this are the cloths I got the inspiration for the dishes I've posted before.
Another figurine with a girl in a pink embroidered skirt and a shawl; weaving "Panama hats", the very ones that were always made here in Ecuador...I mean, NOT in Panama.
Sometimes even I am surprised at the pretty things we used to make at our former Ceramic Co. I love this tureen with the bird and pink flowers.
The stemware is Bormiolli, made in Italy.
A close up of the pretty tea set. The little flower base was made by us too.
I made this tablescape with one of my favorite dishes, because it has little pink flowers and buds on it. I bought it many years ago, in the early 90's and it has 16 places, I bought 2 boxes of 8, it was not expensive, I think maybe $90 each box, but than, we were going to have our oldest daughter's First Communion, so I needed lots of dishes! Hope you like it.
