Hello sweet friends!
I started to rearrange the English buffet cause it looked kind of wintery or something, therefore, I thought for a different setting for 'FATHER'S DAY' with a more Summery look to it and I came up with a 'Sunflower Theme,' using my sunflower salad plates as a focal point.
I don't do much seasonal changing, except for some décor here and there, but not as some gorgeous homes I see around blogland, totally decorated for Summer !
With that said; this 'Father's Day' setting is formed with my sunflowers salad plates, paired with green rimmed everyday dinner plates and white chargers on our bare wood, vintage French table.
I also used sunflower napkin rings and napkins, along with natural 'sunflowers' for the centerpiece.
Wishing you all an amazing FATHER'S DAY and a fun SUMMER SEASON 2016.
The tablescape for Summer and Father's Day 2016 is spread here at our breakfast table. |
A very simple Father's Day or Summer table setting for a simple lunch or dinner. |
I elevated the centerpiece on a white medium cake pedestal. |
I freshen up the English buffet with some transferware in blue and red. It could remain here until I do all my patriotic table setting in July; with red and white flowers, perhaps. |
In this photo you see a doily, yes, I had to add it because it was sliding a bit and I was afraid it'll fall with all the plates, lol..
The sideboard vignette for this Summer. |
These are natural sunflowers and they're great and big and with a very dark center, just like the plates ! |
Sunflower napkin ring holding a sunflower napkin too, except it's pink, but I liked it together just the same. Hubby loves big napkins and these are huge! |
I like to see my transferware dishes on the sideboard on a daily basis on top of this plate holder, it makes me happy.

Gros bisous 🌺 🌻
I just adore your sunflowers!!! We have some at home that grow from the bird seed dropping!

What a lovely table! Sunflowers are so perky and fun, and paired with your green and white, they have made a beautiful Father's Day table setting.
ReplyDeleteFor close to 20 years, I had a sunflower-themed kitchen. About 2 years ago, I wanted a change, so I put up a new wallpaper border and took down all my sunflower decor. What an idiot I was, because about a year later, I found myself missing my sunflowers and wanting that kitchen back again.
Blessings,
