Happy Mother's Day to all my wonderful blog friends!
Blogging is such an important part of my days, now that I am a retired lady for five years. I say this because the best part is to see you almost everyday along with your beautiful work, in decorating, cooking, talented DIYers and the tablescapers.
Now, I know I will rejoice looking at your gorgeous tablescape ideas for Mother's Day! Most of you know I have a 'special love for china,' dishes and accessories for the table, tablescaping is what I love the most.
In lieu of that, I've created this table for my Mother, my Sil's, my friends and all of you Mothers in the world for 2016, as it wasn't difficult to think of, as I love my Mil's inherited beautiful antique 'Pink-Rose' china from her wedding.
The tablecloth is one I recycled last year from the guest room's chintz draperies (previously our two daughters' bedroom). I loved the chintz cause it has many pink flowers and roses, very feminine for the occasion, indeed.
I already received a couple of presents I'm sharing with you. One is a gorgeous doily, crocheted by mother, who was cleaning her linen drawers the other day and for my luck she parted with it in my behalf.
The other are the gorgeous Cala-lily plants daughter Sofi gave me and a perfume from Alejandro I'm not sharing, lol..
With that said:
I'm sending you a trunk filled with love and blessings on Mother's Day !
My dear Mother at 86 years old. Thank you for being my mom, I am so lucky ! |
My wooden tool box with my Sofia's Calla-lily plants she gave me for Mom's Day while we visited them last week, Sil and our little girls. |
Etched Venetian crystal goblets for water and wine. |
Loving the miniature Calla-lily plants, as I love indoor plants, they make a home warm and inviting. |
A close up of the pink, lavender or lilac Calla-lily... I love them! |
Pink and butterfly napkin rings from our former Ceramic Co. |
Thank you for your sweet comments my friends, they always make my day!
Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.
Love for Mother's Day,
FABBY

ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always, Fabby. Happy Mother's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteYou should create for Museums and Exhibitions. Your creations are THAT perfect and ethereal!
ReplyDeleteBut I know what's more important and cherishing for you it's to gather all around that elegance and whimsy and laugh, talk, pray... enriching with people and blessings a Gift you already own.
I don't think Tablescaping and Mothering are such different matters when done with the love and care you put into details and into the likes and wishes of your loved ones. And they are many as many as big as your heart is.
Blessed Mother's Day to you, your family and all the friends who have been blessed with you in their lives.
Love,
Teresa

Dearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteOh my what a dream table you created and your gifts are so lovely too.
Calla lilies are such elegant flowers.
But the MOST striking I've spotted here, is the most incredibly crocheted lace doily by your sweet Mother. I've never seen anything like this; enlarged the photo but that even doesn't capture it all.
Give here a well meant compliment and I know that you wil treasure it for as long as you live.
Sending you hugs and blessings,
Mariette
Hello Fabby,
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape is really pretty! I love pink so your setting really appeals to me. Those calla lilies are gorgeous and what a stunning gift! I also love the doily your mother gave you. I see you have the wrong blog address down for my link party and perhaps that is why you had trouble linking up. If you change the "rose" to "door" in my address, you shouldn't have any problem. Thanks for sharing dear Fabby.
Blessings,
Sandi
Hi Fabby, such beautiful table setting. Hope you had a lovely Mothers day :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Creative Mondays
You always have the prettiest tables, dear Fabby! I love your MIL's China and the tablecloth from the draperies is a treasure. Your dear mom is the same age as my own mom. We are lucky to still have them. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day that you so deserved.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention how lovely the crocheted doily is that your own mother made! I just love and admire it, Fabby!
ReplyDeleteDear Fabby:
ReplyDeletePlease tell you Mother that she looks amazingly beautiful. I think your table is so pretty and I love the photo with the chandelier hanging down above the table. What a lovely table setting with the tablecloth and dishes! Thanks for sharing and linking.
Thanks for sharing another beautiful table setting, Fabby. I hope that you had a fabulous Mother's Day weekend!

Fabby, I'm just now finding time to sit down and visit your beautiful blog. What a treat you set for the dear women in your family!! Your Mother's Day table is stunning and what a creative way to reuse beloved fabric. The doily your mother gave you is a true treasure, as well. I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day celebration. Our children were home and Hubby grilled and we enjoyed being together! Happy weekend, dear friend! Zenda

I'm a bit late to this post, Fabby, but happy to have found it. Your mother is lovely - you and I are lucky women to have our mothers still with us. The table is beautiful. I loved the sideboard with the aqua Limoges and the antique centrepiece. The contrast with the pink is perfect!
ReplyDeleteDear Fabby, You are the most talented person I know when it comes to setting a gorgeous table. Today's beautiful dishes, stemware and the calla lily centerpiece is all so pretty together. Your guests must be honored by your lovely tablescapes and must feel so very welcome. You have a lovely home as well. It is a pleasure to visit you.
