Hello sweet friends!
The friends that have followed me lately know Alejandro bought a beautiful vintage French table for our breakfast room.
While we were there, one of the sales person informed me there was another container coming from Europe the following week and that I might want to see the transferware dishes and many gorgeous things they were bringing in.
So you know... my curiosity was beyond me!
Here I'm sharing what I bought recently!
I specially love, love the cobalt blue I'talian-Murano,' cut glass compote with pedestal.
Funny, cause we made a bet as who would win the 'Soccer WC' and so I lost the bet choosing Argentina, however, I had to buy the bowl instead of getting it as a present from Mr. Living, lol!
I also bought two lovely blue and white dinner transferware plates to add to my collection and a 'Dutch-Delft' blue and white bowl for flower arranging. You know how I love white with blue!
Ok, with that said, here you have my latest treasures.
Isn't this cobalt blue, "Murano-Italy" cut glass compote just gorgeous! I didn't even mind paying for it myself, lol! |
I also fell hard for this lovely 'Hand decorated, Delft-Holland' bowl for flower arranging, or even fruit. |
The transferware plate on the back of the teacup and saucer is another find and it's, 'The Queen's Silver Jubilee 1977, Staffordshire, England.' |
...and the other transferware plate is 'Asiatic Pheasant, Wedgwood-England.' |
My new vignette decoration on the antique English buffet. |
I hope you liked my new finds. Thanks for your sweet and kind comments, you always make my day. Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties. ReplyDeleteHi Fabby. I love the gorgeous blue and white dishes you have recently acquired. The setting of them on the English buffet is so beautiful. I hope you are having a good week. Blessings, Pamela
ReplyDeleteYou blue and white china collection is ever growing, Fabby, and beautiful all the pieces are! I am in love with your Murano glass footed vase, so gorgeous and exquisite!...Christine
ReplyDeleteLove all of your blue and white finds. My favorites. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you lost the bet, but you still got your gorgeous compote and that's all that matters..lol! I love your new vignette, I think you may have inspired me to do a blue tablescape! Hugs, Penny

ReplyDeleteThe compote and the Delft piece will yield many years of delightful use. They are wonderful! I'd have paid for the compote, too. Your new vignette is vibrant and beautiful. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteThe cobalt compote is beautiful, so is the Delft bowl, Fabby!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finds- the blue compote is gorgeous! The china looks perfect with the picture on the wall- the colors work so well together!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous finds!! That cut glass compote is absolutely gorgeous! My dear MIL and I saw a punchbowl similar to it at an auction. We considered bidding on it but it was simply too large for either of us to store safely. It was tempting. This is a perfect size, though! Your other blue finds are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing how you use them in the future!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your newest find! YES I love blue and white as well. So pretty! Thanks for visiting me as it made my day! I am your newest follower. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

ReplyDeleteYou really keep scoring high at that local antique store. They are very courteous for tipping you each time so you get the BEST of it.
Love all of them and the Murano glass is brilliant in this cobalt blue. Pieter and I both have been to Murano, we lived in the Veneto area, so we do know about it.
Lovely Delft ware too and the Staffordshir transferwre is lovely. ENJOY!
