Hello sweet friends!
We'll be celebrating my 9 year old grand Victoria's First Communion this month, so we are very excited and happy for our little girl! I can't believe our little Victoria is already going through the first Sacrament of the Catholic Faith, which is so important for children, as now they are very conscious of what they are committing to our Lord Jesus Christ.
My sweet mother, or Victoria's great-grand, found this "Bareuther-Bavaria" from Germany in the antique shop, tea cup and saucer, plus cake plate just for the 'First Communion' and the teacup reads in Dutch 'Ter Herinnering aan Uw H. Communie.' Our lovely friend Mariette Vander Munckhof Vedder; she has the beautiful blog: 'Mariette Back to Basics'...translated it for me in English and it reads..."In Memory of Your Holy Communion."
Anyway, it's vintage and mother loved it for her Gg'girl as her present, to remember her by. I thought it was lovely. Hope you like it too.
Here you have it...isn't it simply adorable? Victoria is doing her "First Communion, September 21st. 2013." |
The First Communion handky was my two daughters, as they both carried it in their small purse on that special day. The image of Jesus is inside the cup. |
A close up of the lace, embroidered First Communion scarf, which Victoria will wear too on her special day September 21, her own First Communion. |
The sweet plate with the images of angels receiving the 'Holy Communion wafer.' |
The lace handkerchief has an embroidered calix. |
I really love the pretty Little china, specially from my dear mother for Victoria. Thank you so much for your sweet and kind visits my friend, as you always make my day!
