FABBY: Purple & White Table for Holy Friday

Hello sweet friends!

Hope your Holy Week is coming along peacefully and serene, in union with our Lord Jesus Christ. My white and purple table scape is specially inspired, on Holy Friday, since these color combination are morning colors, as Jesus was crucified for us on the Friday before Easter Sunday, which is when Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, for His ultimate glory; to be next to His Father, our Lord. May God bless you and your families this Easter Sunday.

My Mil's vintage iron cross.

The purple goblets are Polish and the wine stems are French from my Mil.

I used for this Holy Friday table scape my white with gold Noritake china.

The chargers are purple, which is hard to notice from the picture.
The mother and child ceramic boxes with bunny lids.

The setting was done in our alabaster, breakfast table with white lace place mats.

The purple little flowers are from our condo's garden.
A crystal rabbit at your left, a small pewter cross and a votive.

I folded the knife and fork in the napkin and wrapped it with a purple ribbon. Here you can appreciate a little of the purple charger, which came out so dark in the photo... with one of my mom's doilies; which purpose is "not to scratch" the charger with the dinner plate with the friction they produce, while we eat.
Oh my, the charger looks wine color in this light, but they are as purple as the ribbon!, lol..

The glass lazy-susan is great, because it's where we keep the S.&P. shakers, vitamins, medicine, coffee mate, Splenda, teas, etc...here, in this same table, for our every day use.
The tea or coffee station for after dinner.

A pretty Lladro Bunny.

The centerpiece flower vase, bunnies and votives are standing on the glass "lazy-Susan."
The vintage Belgium buffet is flanked by two modern lamps..a floor lamp with glass slits that form a ball shade and at the far end of the buffet is my Italian Kartell lamp, which is my fav...in order to make this part of the dining area a little more eclectic, by mixing old with new.

Thank you so much to all of you wonderful friends who leave me such sweet, kind and generous comments, you always make my day!!

Thanking the gracious hostesses for having me each week at their fun and exciting parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

  2. Simply beautiful! An elegant table honoring a blessed event. I loved catching a glimpse of city lights outside your window. I remember from previous post what a lovely view you have!

    Gros bisous

  5. Fabby, this table setting is truly my cup of tea! Classic, simple yet elegant, not too fussy. I love the Noritake china. I have a set of Noritake I use often because of the classic lines and the ability to change the settings with chargers, napkins, etc...

    The Lladro bunny is precious.

Happy & blessed Easter celebration, because He is risen !

Your Lladro bunny brought back precious memories to me. There was a sweet little bunny like yours (maybe the same). We were in France and I wanted to buy this little Lladro bunny and it was time for the bus to depart.... no bunny for me.... lol!

Your table (as always) looks magnificent!
    Love,
