I also baked a heart shaped Carrot Cake we all love and shared with four friends and later with hubby...who didn't even noticed that the tea set I was serving him in.. was new!...lol
Here is my tea party and in front stage my new find, this pretty Bavarian tea set. Everything on top of a pure linen, embroidered tablecloth, made in the Philippines...the kind that it's difficult to iron, lol..
At left the antique, sterling silver Samovar that belonged to my MIL. The heart shaped Carrot Cake.
I am loving my new Bavarian tea set, which is different for me, as I'm always drawn to pink flowers and the pattern on them has a pale BLUE flower and small ones in AQUA. I'm joining Blue Monday at Sally's as she will love this pattern.
This Carrot cake recipe and Cream-cheese frosting is from my Better Homes & Gardens-New Cook Book...(that's how the title reads, my book is very old!)
The darling teacups have flowers inside them as well. Love the gold lace pattern on the edges of the teacups. |
I love this Capodimonte porcelain candy tray with the two little "puttinos" playing a harp and the other a flute. |
My mother's silver tea spoons from her First Communion, way back in 1937, when she was seven years old. Mother gave me a dozen of them. |
Of course I will be linking to some fabulous and fun parties and thanks to the beautiful hostesses.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S to you all.
