MOTHER'S VINTAGE LIMOGES

My mother gave me this  Candle Light by American Limoges-22k. Gold, (this is in back of plates).  She said it was for the memories as not much is left of it, except 5 place sets, some of the dinner plates are chipped and so I covered the chips with the napkins.  There's a salad bowl, a oval platter and a cute sugar bowl...no cup and saucers left!   I love the pretty gold finials on the plates.
The center piece is French antique, as it was my hubby's grandparents an art Noveu piece from the 20's...I ciuldn't believe how incredible it went together with such a very French colour, from the Napoleonic Empire era, it's a Federal Blue... (this is also in back of plates).  It has a monogram from his dad's side of the family CA and we have the same initials, AC, so that's why my MIL left it to us.   The faux flower arrangement was made by my MIL...I'm finally ready to take them off and make something new.
Thank you for visiting me, I'm always thrilled to have you.
Love...FABBY

Fabby, Your china and center piece are a fabulous shade of blue. So sad that the plates are chipped, but they are still beautiful and can be enjoyed for their beauty if they can't actually be used for a meal. Thanks for sharing your family's history about them.

Hi Fabby,

Okay, now I found it. How beautiful these blue/turquoise dishes are! That was so nice of your Mom to give to you, and that you had the piece from your husband's grandparents to match. That is way cool.

I'm glad you came back to get me. Thanks for visiting again today, I appreciate it very much.

The table is beyond gorgeous....it is heavenly with the china pieces from your family. The color is the softest Robin's eggs aqua that I have ever seen!! It could easily be "mine".....know you will laugh! AND the centerpiece is stunning......have never seen anything like that in antique shops but I will be looking now. I think since it is a piece inherited from your husband's family makes it truly a treasure ......I am so sentimental and adore anything from my family even if it is just a handkerchief! Who would not love to sit at this table, partake of your cooking and join in the conversation that is sure to flow!! ......just lovely, like you in your blog!

Hi Fabby!

This is absolutely gorgeous!! I just love the blue color -- it's so elegant. And that centerpiece is really something special; it must be a one-of-a-kind piece. You created a beautiful table and the photos turned out lovely!

My son is home from college on Spring Break, so I didn't post a tablescape this week. I am planning one for next Thursday for sure. I really enjoy doing a St. Patrick's Day table. See you next week.
