I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, along with your dear families. I did, as in a predominantly Catholic country we have a long weekend, starting from Good Friday.
I'm so happy to be here, partying with all of you, along with dear Alyson, from the Polohouse, who always hostesses her interesting and exciting meme, "Favorites on the First"..just like it says.."every first of the month." This First of April the party theme is, our favorite lamps, so, for my contribution I have posted some of my favorites.. I hope you like them too! May you all have a wonderful month of April and may it brings you pleasant surprises, only!
Let's par-tay!!
Here is my Kartell Bourghie, Italian Design; which is my favorite table lamp around the house...but it doesn't mean I don't love my other ones too.. had I not, I would have replaced them long ago! |
A close up of the modern, minimalist type floor lamp, with glass slits forming the circle shade. |
Here you have them, flanking the antique buffet piece from the 1940's, as I love to mix old with new; a little eclecticism is always very interesting and fun. |
This coconut tree lamp is another one I like a lot, with it's woven shade. |
The light coming through the woven shade it's very pretty, soft and warm. |
In my living room, in each end table, I have oriental lamps, which I'm very partial to. I love the scenery in this particular one. |
This is a floor lamp that's in our den and I like it cause it has a marble top to it and it matches another small, half moon end table in the living room. |
Ok, here you have some of my favorite lamps around our house. Thank you so much Alyson for the great party! Hope to see you there, my friends on the "Favorites on the First"! http://thepolohouse.blogspot.com Thank you for you sweet and kind comments, as you always make my day! I am crazy for your silver neoclassic lamp on your buffet. That is just gorgeous. Your Italian chandelier is stunning, and the stained glass fixture you had made for the kitchen ceiling is just so "Fabby-lous"! What a terrific and unique addition.

I thought about joining the "lamp" party, but I counted my lamps and I have exactly 4 lamps in our entire house. I know it is small, but when I see all your wonderful lamps, it makes me realize how tiny our little cottage is.
ReplyDeleteFabby, fun to see your favorite lamps. Your sky light is incredible! So is the chandy.........Sarah
ReplyDeleteFabby- You have some absolutely beautiful lamps and lights. I just adore that first Oriental lamp-oh my!!! And your chandelier is, of course, so fabulous. I remember when you got it! Hope you have a wonderful week- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteFabby, as ususual, you have FABulous things in your home to share with us! You do a wonderful job of mixing the old and the new to make your home such an interesting place to "visit". Thanks for taking us on a lighting tour of your home. Love your lamps but the skylight is my fav.
ReplyDeleteShould change the name of the Blog into "Fabulous Living".
ReplyDeleteAll so precious and gorgeous. I'm still in awe over your kitchen's Art Déco Skylight :wonder:.
I love lamps' lighting. You know when tv passes those "famous" interviews with princes and princesses? I'm always delighted with the lamp lighted behind them, soothing and "homeling" (just invented the word) the atmosphere... well, most of the times don't ask me what they said as I took all the time noticing the details - the pictures, the silver frames, the lighting... same with this post - I delighted myself with the pictures then had to start over and read what you said along with them.
Fabulous Living, Thank you for sharing! Blessings Dear Friend, that inspiration and great taste always surround you in a Life of Health and Love.
Yours,
Teresa

The thing that grabbed my attention in this post was that pretty picture on the wall of the daisies. I am always drawn to daisies.
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant creation! Who's idea was that? This is the best example of maximizing the use of skylight. Yours is passageway for natural light and a wonderful décor. With that skylight, I'm sure that your kitchen will never have dark days.
