FABBY: Kiss Me, I'm Irish, LOL!

Spring Thing
Hello dear laddies!

Ok,  so for sweet Irish cheeks Kathleen's challenge party at Let's Dish, her great meme to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the patron of Ireland, I decided I am Irish until the real day, lol.. I think we should all be for St. Pat's Day every year, right?

I am exhausted from making a baby shower for a good friend's DD and baking the cake and everything else. Thank goodness it was at my Sil's house!

I will be a little late answering you my sweet, sweet friends, as my grandgirls are here and they are going back home Friday, therefore, I will be having lots of time in my hands to start commenting and visiting on all the fabulous posts you share!

Lots of great wishes for St. Patrick's Day and may all of you 'real Irish ladies' and your families enjoy this very special and traditional day.

Viva St. Patrick's Day!

Here is my table scape with lots of greens!

I started with a place mat hand woven in Ecuador that has shamrocks embroidered and I don't know why, but Indigenous people of this region seem to have shamrocks embroidered in their apparel too, that's where my inspiration for this pattern came from.
The flatware is Argent-Sophia in ivory which blends so well with the placemats.

Here are my dishes with shamrock borders and flowers; made back at our ceramic company, Monte Turi.

The place set with the salad plates with shamrocks as well. I used the clear sherbets so the pattern of the plates are more visible.

The dinner plate on top of a green charger with a shamrocks border.

I thought the place mats were perfect for this table, I just realized it while looking for the linen to make this setting.
The natural stone in the table is 'alabaster,' a quarried stone, which is also soft, translucent and lovely and it's from Ecuador.

The sherbets for dessert in the antique American made nesting tables that belonged to my Mil.

More shamrocks in the sherbets and a little green cloche I found by chance the other day.

A close up of the tea setting.

Actually, I love Baileys with my coffee, always did! I think I'll make me one now..hehehe..

I hope I made all your Irish eyes smile today.

Thank you so much lovely Irish friends and like I said before we all are Irish in this party at Kathleen's to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Your sweet and kind comments always make my day!

Thank you so much Kathleen for this great challenge at "Let's Dish, Cuisine Kathleen."

Hope to see you all there tonight!

LOVE,
FABBY

FABBY: Tea Time With The Girls

Hello sweet friends!

My g'girls Victoria and Cayetana are spending a couple of weeks with us, since this is their summer vacation in their part of the world, which is the coast region of Ecuador. The weather in Guayaquil-Ecuador is very hot and humid when they're on vacation and milder when they go back to school at the end of April.

We've done tons of things so far, like going on tours of the city, horse back riding, picnics, going out for tea with the greatgrand and of course, baking with Abe, (that's me!). It's been such fun, as my cuties are so happy, cheery, funny and very smart, lol!

I've set a table for them with a little tea china I have for the girls when they come here and of course, I fixed tea vignettes for the adults as well. You will see it all.

Hope you like it. Have a great week!

Buffet setting for tea. I am inspired by tonight's Downton Abbey. I can't wait till it's 8pm to watch the new season!

I just need a Butler so he can serve us turkey in the silver fowl cover...hehehee

Another setting for tea.

Tea with some cupcakes the girls made and we'll be having it on the red English transfer ware.

They did a great job baking these chocolate chip cupcakes with me, here in the Lady Carlyle two tier serving.
I was crying at the end of Downton Abbey's last scene when Lady Mary showed up at the meeting table, lol!

I love my complete tea service in the ever lovely English red transfer ware. The set I have contains 12 teacups, saucers, 12 salad plates, or in this case, cake plates maybe? The Tea service you see here, the platter in the back and two salad bowls, a big one and a small one.

The lovely Candy bowl by Meissen with the girls playing hide and seek.

My Little bakers, who didn't want me to comb their hairs...they hate it, lol!

Yummy cupcakes!

Drinking English blueberry tea...not like Downton Abbey, though, they didn't want me to comb their hair...heheheheee..

Oh goodness, there's more cupcakes in the oven!

Mother invited us for tea at a lovely tea parlor. Here while they waited for their cake and ice-cream.

It's been raining hard today and here is the lovely river out my breakfast room window.
The lovely noise is like a burble and ripple as the water runs when it's full like today.
I love the sound that it makes, it gives me such soothing pleasure... I adore the river and there are four rivers running through the city of Cuenca, to my satisfaction!

Hubby and I walk briskly this path around the river, three times a week, as the alternating days I go to the gym for Spinning classes.

The view of the same river from the other side, out the den window of our apartment high rise. The Andean mountains are in the back of the forest, but today it's so cloudy and foggy you an hardly see them.

Thank you so much lovely friends for your sweet and kind visit, you always make my day!

Thanking the gracious hostesses for having me at their great parties each week.

LOVE,
FABBY
