I started to work on my Thanksgiving tablescape today, while I watched the elections, which kept me busy, as I was so nervous and stressed out..I'm so glad it's over, regardless the outcome, which it will be soon as it's almost 11pm. I did fresh flowers, instead of pumpkins, which I posted in most of the other tables and fall vignettes. For my Thanksgiving tablescape I used my Turkish gold glass chargers, with orange dinner plates.. and just the other day I realized the Bavarian salad plates had a nice size orange flower, so I immediately decided to pair them with the orange plates and the place setting looked perfect! I love to mix and match my dishes, even in real life, therefore, I think I'll do this table for Thanksgiving Day. The glass sherbets are for a shrimp ceviche as an entree and the silver fowl cover for the turkey and all the goodies that go with it.
Here is my table for Thanksgiving 2012, as we have so much to thank God.. first, for our family, our health and so much we have received this year from His Blessed Hands.
Cotton organza embroidered Indian place mats in green and a soft beige, they also have small embroidered leaves. Shots taken in the afternoon. |
All the napkin rings are Autumn leaves of different shapes. The bread plates are pewter. |
The crystal sherbets are from the 90's, so I don't remember where they were from. Notice another fall leaf. |
Here is another fall leaf in the orange napkin. The gravy boat is Noritake. |
I had fun doing these two arrangements with some fall colors, leaves and flowers. There's a great flower shop a block away from my house; flowers are quite inexpensive around here. |
Here is opened with a white vintage English ironstone platter I had, which fits perfectly.
The silver butter dish was a gift for me from my dad and next to it a little crystal Bohemian S&P cellar. These shots are taken in the evening.. now by candle light.
This antique sterling bowl was my dear Mil's and it's where I place the cranberry.
Here you can see the orange flower and bud, which made me pair these pretty salad dishes with the orange dinner plates.
The candle holders in a pretty amber color are Portuguese.
A station in the buffet for tea, coffee or herb tea, which some of us like at night, specially the women ..and sometimes even men.
The amber wine glasses are Italian Mario Santini and the water glasses are Mexican hand blown.
The pretty crochet runner was made by my mother, among tablecloths and many other things I have... crocheted by her and by my grandmother..mother's mama. |
So here you have it..my Thanksgiving tablescape for 2012.
Thanking you in advance my lovely and kind friends for all the generous comments you always leave me.
I will also be joining some great parties...so thank you gracious hostesses for having me.

Although I am most happy that you have enjoyed this week's tea parties my dear, fellow blogging friend... As of yet, I am not yet ready at this time to go back to hosting tea parties with Linky link-up widgets. Thank you so much for your kind and enthusiastic interest.
This week's number happens to commemorate and also to be my personal celebration of theses tea's of mine and it is therefore numbered specifically to mark these tea times of mine on my own blog...
...(It is not at present meant to be linked up with as was my former meme tea party as from the past at this time)...
...As in this week's instance, it is my 309th such Tuesday And Wednesday Teatime In Blogland occasion, however... When I am ready to return, I surely happily and most warmly invite as many of you as I'm able to contact, to let you know. ~ Many kind thanks for visiting me today.
