I enjoyed the tour and the one on the roses too. I imagined the scent of the roses at that wedding reception table!

Wow, what a fabulously preserved treasure! I think my favorite part, although it is all so beautiful is that wonderful staircase out of stone with the moss growing on it and the stone balustrade. Absolutely gorgeous drive, walks and grounds too. I am so glad someone could bring it back into the family and preserve it.

I love all the different architectural details. The frescos are lovely, and the flowers are gorgeous!! This is quite a large hacienda and a real treasure to have in your family.

Dear Fabby...I saw this post the day it came out and THOUGHT I had left a comment.....senior moment?? I so enjoyed reading about your husband's family's estate and seeing the beautiful grounds and some portions of the hacienda. It is a lovely setting, with the natural woodlands and the planted gardens. The hacienda is gorgeous and it has been so wonderfully restored. I love the porches, and the paintings at the entrance....
