Hope you're all enjoying this wonderful St. Patrick's Sunday the 17 of March..as I am because of our new head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francisco, from Argentina, South America. May God bless him so he could help all the countries in the world to go back to the original values, our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to live by.
This is a small table for our Sunday lunch I did TODAY, although I sent a draft by mistake last Friday; but today is the real post, with our lunch, lol.. I am using the dinner plateswith the shamrocks now, since my last table for St. Patrick's, was a "tea table", not a dinner table. Have a blessed St. Patrick's Sunday, to you all and your families.
Here is the dinner plate with the shamrocks, paired with my other china, green and white soup bowls, both designed and made at our former Ceramic Co.- Monte Turi. |
The soup recipe is at the end of this post, if you wish. |
The soup we're having is Creme of Broccoli, garnished with hard boiled egg slices. I prepared it cause it's green, and of course it also goes well with this green-month of St. Pat's..j hehe.. |
If you've been following me, you will remember I did a post on all my after C'mas sale finds and I got this very green chargers, I really like, as they're perfect for the holidays too. |
The small bowls are for fresh fruit and yogurt dessert. |
The day is getting dark, as it looks like a very needed rain is coming. |
We decided to watch a movie after lunch, so we'll be having dessert in the family room with tea and a piece of Pineapple Pie. |
The pie looks good! |
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for the wonderful comments you leave me, as you always make my day! I will be joining some great parties, so thank you gracious hostesses for having me join the fun! LOVE, FABBY Cream of Broccoli 1 1/2 cups broccoli 1/2 medium onion 1 teaspoon fresh mashed garlic 1 medium potato 1/2 cup milk salt and pepper to taste 2 Tablespoons oil 4 cups water, more if you need to. In a pot put the oil, the chopped onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook until onions are clear. Add the water and boil and put the potato cut in cubes and cook the potato. When potato is done add the broccoli and cook for 10 minutes more. Lastly add the milk and cook for 5 minutes at low flame. Let it cool and blend in your blender until is creamed. Check the salt if needed. Garnish with slices of hard boil egg, like I did, crutons, or whatever you desire. Yield 4 servings. Love the soup bowls. They remind me of some design work that I have done on clay pieces that I hand built. Wish we could have a "play day" and get our hands into clay and underglazes! We could use my kiln. Did you keep a kiln for your personal use? Thanks for the recipe. Cherry Kay
