I love these SML platters, they're great to serve kind of meats, even cake and sweets for tea parties. A butter dish with a cow handle. |
One of my faves is this big pan, as I serve "Paella" in it, or anything big in a mix rice recipe, or even pasta. |
The salad plates, teacup plates, bread plates, entree plates and the big beautiful, ruffled edge salad bowl in the back. |
I even made a wine decanter and at your right, chicken soup bowls with handles. |
The fruit bowl with the mama bird feeding her baby birdie. At left, a platter for chips and dip. The big pile is for "ceviche", or dessert bowls. |
Every piece can also go in the oven, like this cute pot with a duck in the lid. A butter dish at your right. |
On top of the round platter there's a gravy dish with lid too. |
My goodness, is taken me way too long to upload my photos to blogger, I don't know what's wrong...does anybody know? |
At left, a bowl with a half bowl attached to it, it's for olives, cranberries..fruit that have pits; so you place the pits next, in the small bowl. |
The big tureen, two candle holders, a juice pitcher and some entree plates. |
I couldn't have not made a cake stand with pedestal and decanters for oil and vinegar! |
Thank you kind and generous friends for dropping by, you always make my day!
Thank you lovely and gracious hostesses for your terrific parties you have each week and to some of you for choosing some of my posts as features..you honored me beyond words and so far this January I've been featured three times, wow!!

Fabby, it's all such happy, colorful pottery. I adore the three dimensional animals attached to some of the pieces. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous dishes. And you designed them! ;-)
ReplyDeleteFabby, I am flipping out over these dishes. The colors, I love, they are my colors! The various pieces, I love the one with the mama bird feeding her baby, so beautiful, all of it. You are a talented lady with an eye for color and design. Such beautiful pottery, I wish I knew you when you had your factory. xo
ReplyDeleteOMGOSH Fabby!!!! I have never in my life seen anything like this! What a wonderful job you did designing this and to think some of it is from the design of a baby's blanket. I am just in total disbelief on all the pieces you have. What a wonderful collection. I certainly hope your children will be proud someday (way down the road) to say, "My mother designed and produced these".
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the satisfaction this gives you to have this beautiful set. I am amazed to learn the history of some of those pieces and why they are shaped like they are. Amazing.
I hope you enjoy many, many dinner parties with them. They reflect your beauty. xo Diana
Fabby-Is the factory still a working factory?
wow Fabby, they are absolutely beautiful, have always admired them. What a treasure-the dishes too... love them, thank you for sharing them with us, God bless.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of beautiful and colorful dishes. What fun it must be to set the table.
ReplyDeleteHello Fabby, I have seen some of these pieces before, and I remember you telling us about you and your husbands company. You really designed a fabulous set of dishes! I adore the colorful and festive pattern. And all the useful different types too! I think you thought of everything.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure to give yourself : )
hugs,
Terri
OH. MY. GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW WOW WOW!!!!!
First off, YOUR designs, that is awesome! And your hubs company? How neat is THAT!!!?
This is an amazing collection by an amazing lady.
Fabulous design, Fabby! What a huge set and so many unique pieces! I like the fluted salad bowl, the fruit bowl with an extra bowl for pit. Ou sure thought of everything, so functional. I like them all and love the colors too....Christine
ReplyDeleteDearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this great and unique museum tour. Quite interesting story goes with it and you were very talented for using the Inca embroidery design on this production! I was already guessing if it would be oven proof when you showed that Paella pan. Impressive work and so thought out for all the different uses. Like the berry bowl with drainage plate that you only buy from e.g. Pillivuyt in France or other antique patterns in Europe. Thanks for taking this all out; quite a task to do so and for putting it up again!
Enjoy your week and big hugs,
Mariette
What an amazing set of dishes that is and it's so very, very beautiful. I especially like the cake plate, the tea pot on it's warmer and the eight handled soup tureen.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a very talented lady you are to design these, you're amazing!
Have a super week. Cindy
I WONDERED where you have been :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful (and maybe the most complete set of dishes I've ever seen) collection! I can't imagine finding a place to store them all. You have an amazing talent, dear Fabby.
I wonder if the slowness in loading your pictures has something to do with their size. When I export mine from Picasa to a file for uploading to Blogger, I do it at 799 pixels. That way I don't get charged for storage, etc. and they seem to load quickly to my blog.
Wow wow wow! That's an amazing set! I like the ruffled edge that the bowls have! You have an amazing amount of pieces!
ReplyDeleteOh, Fabby -- I love every piece -- the wonderful colors. I adore *folk art* ... the art of the people. The embroidery of the area is so lovely and you've captured it all in your beautiful designs. You are a very talented lady. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteFabby, these pottery dishes are so beautiful! Oh my. What a gorgeous pattern on them all and to think that you designed them yourself. You have mentioned many times that your husband sold the pottery factory and I am wondering if it is still in business by someone else. I hope you have a lovely week. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pottery. Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteI love how you incorporated the indeginous designs. My favorite piece has to be the dish for olives and their pits! How clever. You are as fab as your name!
ReplyDeleteVery similar to one traditional we have in my Country (
ReplyDeleteThough ours isn't so cheerful as yours, it gives a pang to recognise something as "our own" doesn't it?
Can't even begin to imagine how it feels to be part of the creation proccess like you did. I'm humbled by your extraordinary gift. Both artistic and cultural, bringing all the details into it...
So glad you managed to hold so many pieces that you will be able to share with your loved ones in the future. You really are your mother's daughter ;); always working and living to leave a legacy of love and culture.
Thank you for sharing,
Teresa

You are kidding...that design was inspired by a baby blanket?!??!?!! That is amazing! I love the paella pan! That is BEAUTIFUL!!! I also really love the salad bowl with the ruffled edge...cool!!! The fact that it is all oven-safe is fantastic! Interesting fact about the Panama hats!!! Ellen from Scribbler Unfocused has been talking about how slow it has been with uploading photos on Blogger the past couple of weeks. She's been looking for an answer, too, but hasn't found one yet. I'm so sorry you guys are having trouble with that! Your set is beautiful and VAST, and I'm so glad we finally got to see it!!! Have a great week!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! This is a gorgeous set, and that you designed it and your husband owed the factory for many years makes it more so! That had to have been very difficult to let go. I love so many of the pieces, but the bowl with the side bowl for pits and the clever way to serve salad dressing, just so perfect. Loved that you shared this, I can only imagine all the fun parties these dishes have been to!
ReplyDeleteFabby what a beautiful collection and I bet you have lots of happy memories of family feasts served on that set!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is such a sunny space - this post has transported me to Spain - my mum certainly has pieces similar to these that we have bought on holidays over the years x
Oh what a fabulous collection! Such unique pieces! Loved seeing this!

ReplyDeleteFabby, Unbelievable! That china is beautiful and to so many pieces is amazing. How wonderful to have these beautiful mementos of your family business. Thansk for sharing. Dianne
ReplyDeleteFabby, I had no idea you and your husband were involved in the pottery business.. and for 30 years!! That's incredible and how wonderful that you have all of these gorgeous pieces to cherish forever. I have some with blue and yellow that are from Italy. These remind me of my own. They are so pretty and I am sure you will always treasure them.

ReplyDeleteHi Fabby,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful full set of China.
It's fun, colourful and practical.
It reminds me of a bit Spain and yes, Inca.
Cheers,
Felicity
Wow, Fabby--what a glorious china collection, which you designed and it's hand made and painted--it's amazing! I love all the varied and unique pieces, and very unusual pieces, several that I've never seen anywhere else before. I also like that you went back into history for your ideas. Thank you so much for sharing this beauty with us!
ReplyDeleteHi Fabby,
ReplyDeletethis is really stunning. I love the happy colors and designs and very much the animals and fruits on the lids. And the huge diversity of shapes is amazing. Your pottery is in all patterns the nicest and happiest I ever have seen. Thank you for sharing this treasures.

I REALLY enjoyed this post! What bright and beautiful designs! So much gorgeous color!
ReplyDeleteWow Fabby, it is totally all unreal. So beautiful. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what an artist you are ... not many people get to design their own line of dishes or have a company that produces them. These are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKathy M.
How on earth did I miss this post??? I love it! The details on these pieces are just unbelievable. I so wish that you still had your factory - I would have loved to have bought some of your pieces. Thanks, Fabby, for putting this link on your new post - wow!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely GORGEOUS!!! Again, I love the tradition in the set.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive, Fabby! Hugs Pernilla
