A Nativity Scene at my Hot Chocolate Setting

Hello sweet friends !

I created this table for a 'Hot Chocolate' afternoon.

As some of you know, I host a Rosary prayer for eight or ten ladies... sometimes more. Since last February I haven't been able to gather my friends for prayers, as per COVID-19; but we do pray together, the same hour, at our homes, every last Wednesday of the month to keep our beloved tradition.

So, what I want to stress is that we used to have Hot Chocolate with Christmas bread, cake and cookies after our last prayers of December.

I used to place the small Nativity scene, that I've been doing for the past four years, as before I went all the way constructing an entire town of Bethlehem for my grandgirls, that are teenagers now. So now it's on the coffee table, under glass cloche and for my 2020 setting.

I also placed it for my hot chocolate tablescape, to remember other Christmases with my Rosary friends.

Just as I would have if my friends were here for the Rosary.

Hope you enjoy it, as it might be my last table before the birth of our "Savior, Jesus Christ."

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and many blessings for you and your family.

May God the Savior be here soon to save this world from evil.

May no one dies anymore from COVID and may the entire world be able to be vaccinated and cured; whatever the case may be.

Oh dear King of Kings, please protect us and cover us with your Holy and Divine Blood.

God bless us all.

                        My small Nativity under glass.

I placed my beloved Christmas china from 28 years ago and different chocolate Holiday mugs.

From here you can probably notice it's a wreath around the Nativity cloch.

A few years ago a friend of my mom's cross stitch embroidered these lovely napkin rings for me.

The water glasses are Venetian.

My favorite thing to drink chocolate, tea or coffee are Christmas mugs.

It wouldn't be Christmas without lots of them !

The place setting is moved a little towards the right so the mug doesn't cover baby Jesus.

I love plaid tablecloths come the Holidays.
I have this one from several years ago.

Thank you for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for their great and inspiring parties.

                                                LOVE,

My Christmas Kitchen

 Hello sweet friends !

So this Christmas season has flown, as it is just next week the coming of "Baby Jesus our Saviour." All I can say is we sure thank God that we are still here to celebrate His coming, even if it is by just the immediate family of two, as we are.

It has been a tough year, very unusual and very uncertain and now it's ending finally. Hope this new year coming is the "healing" year, in more than one way.

The kitchen is the 'Heart of the Home' and it couldn't pass along without been decorated with all the love and joy of Christmas, as it makes our heart grow fonder to see all the Holiday colors, fun and happiness it brings us, as we enter it all day.

Wishing you are preparing for Christmas in a healthy, happy, lovable and joyous way too.

This is where we spend everyday, sometimes cooking, but for sure eating our dinners in 'our real farm' table.

The table is set for a hot mule, or hot chocolate with Christmas bread.

We live in the 14th. floor, so we also have a wonderful view of the avenue and a beautiful river and forest and park at the sides of it.

It's beautiful for strolls in the morning.

The tea set is hand decorated at our former Ceramic Company.

Here is our little kitchen farm table we love, that also came from our past farmhouse kitchen.

                    A rainy evening

                      Our stained glass sky light.

                    My Christmas bundt cake molds.

Thank you dear ladies for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for their inspiring parties too.

                               LOVE,

A Christmas Birthday by the Tree

 Hello sweet friends !

I fixed this small table for a friend's birthday, who is one of the caregivers that work for my mother.

Since most of you that follow me know, my mom had a stroke last year, February. I had to move her close to me as she needs a lot of care now and I was so fortunate to find an apartment right at the floor just under us.

Valeria is one of the young woman that takes care of her, specially on weekends and her birthday was the 3rd. of this month. I was also visiting our daughter Sofia three hours away; so it's a few days belated.

So, I baked the Xmas 'Gingerbread House' for her, which is a 'Nordic Ware' bundt pan I bought while Maxima, five, was here and we baked the cute house a couple of times.

She loved to eat the chimney first, lol...

The recipe for the Gingerbread house that came right in the carton is totally delicious. Now I'm adding, walnuts, dry fruit, etc., for the Holiday and gifting it too.

I decided to use my tea cups and tea set of red transferware, which I love come Xmas... and always too.

                 Valeria is the birthday girl.

She takes care of my mom on the weekends.

The Christmas 'Gingerbread House' was very appropriate for this time of year.

The recipe came in the carton of the bundt pan and let me tell you, it is delicious !  "GINGERBREAD CAKE"  www.nordicware.com

I also added walnuts, cranberry and some dry orange I had and it came out delish and festive.

You can also incorporate coconut flakes, in the batter, or in the roof as snow, on a white sugar icing so it sticks.

I took advantage that I fixed the Xmas tree by the foyer table, so I thought it would be great to celeb by my new flocked tree as well.

My tree is also a memory tree, as I mentioned once. I have ornaments since we first got married, from way back at 1975.

My Nutcracker collection is growing and growing each year since, at least 10-12 years ago when I started with two that my mom gave me for my birthday, in Oct.

At least half of them, or more, are gifts.

The little Xmas Gingerbread house is such a cutie. I could probably decorate it more next time, with a white sugar glaze. I'll look it up.

In case anyone is interested is a 'Nordic Ware' pan.

I'm sure there are other brands with the adorable shape of Gingerbread houses too.

Thank you so much dear friends for your generous comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for their inspiring parties.

                                             LOVE,

First Christmas table Combining Two Buffalo Check

Hello sweet friends !

I created my first Christmas tablescape of the Season with my buffalo red check placemats from last year and with my new black and white buffalo check from this year.

I hope you are already at home with your beautiful decor.

Have a wonderful, happy and healthy Christmas Season.

I used two color buffalo plaid for my first Xmas table of the season. I had the placemats from last year and the new black and white this year.

I placed three of the black and white in a runner maner.

I decided to go with a white china and so here is my Noritake-White Scapes china.

I didn't imagine the two plaid combos together would look so well, but it did and I love it !

Sitting at this side of the table, I can appreciate the tree quite well.
