A Table Setting with "Toile de Jouy Placemats"

 Hello sweet friends !

I wanted to create a tea table again with my "Toile de Jouy" placemats I made with leftover fabric from my chairs.

I bought this coral beautiful material to reupholster my dining room chairs as it's been 25 years I hadn't, since dear hubby gave me this gorgeous Italian style dining room.

Therefore, while visiting my daughter in Miami, two years ago, I bought this lovely French "Paisanery" Toile in such pretty coral that goes with everything I place in the table.

So here is my tea table with my green dinnerware for eight, except I'm only using the teacups and cake plates, with my reticulated dinner plates as chargers and flowers to match.

Hope you like it too. Enjoy it.

Here I'm using my green china, which brightly pops up against the coral of the placemats.

Hubby said...Wow, matching galore ! Made me crack up hahaha...
You can see I bought deliberately the coral flowers and pink, as well.

As you can see, I had enough fabric to make a runner too.

And if you look up the window, there's also a 'Valance' that I was able to do with more leftover fabric from the chairs.
Very exciting !

Thank you so much dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the gracious hostesses for their inspiring parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

An Eclectic High Tea Table with Maxima

I received beautiful roses from Alejandro, as he heard me say that I needed some flowers to create a beautiful high tea table with Maxima, our four year old grand from dear daughter Alexandra and her hubby Serge.

Maxima had a ball helping me set this eclectic tea table, with a Summer freshness in the different pattern dishes I chose and the gorgeous roses too.

Little Maxima loved the idea of different tea cups for the fun of it all.

Wish I could invite ten of my friends for my Rosary prayer, but we are keeping social distancing very strictly for now... that's why tea is not happening at my house, we're all praying at the same date and time each lady at our homes.

We pray for this dangerous Pandemic COVID19.
We've had family members and friends infected with the virus, but thank goodness they have all come out of it, treated at home.

Here is the table and keep assure we are all praying for family and friends around the world, in the hope this stops and a cure is found and hopefully a very safe vaccine.

Praying specially for all the people that need to go out and work and specially for the ones that are having a hard time in every sense of the word.

Keep safe and sending you all a big hug and many blessings !

Here is my little guest and helper. Maxima four is a smart and fun kid, we enjoy her so much !

My cutie is such fun to be with !

She was so excited too !

We had fun doing this eclectic table.

Loving the roses, how happy they've made us !

I simply adore the gorgeous roses Alejandro ordered for us and he has enjoyed them too.

They're still doing well a week later.

Thank you so much dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for their fun parties.

A very Different 4th. of July 2020

Hello sweet friends !

I just received roses from the flower shop so I created a 4th. of July tablescape for the two of us.

My husband will accompany me celebrating America's birthday.

Although this pandemic it's still far from going away, I am glad we're open and the USA is too. I heard the economy is coming back and that makes me happy for America.

Have a wonderful, happy and safe 4th of July weekend.

Wishing all of you a very blessed time. Always praying my Rosaries for the sick and for the well being of the world.

I thought I'll really celebrate with Alejandro the 4th. of July at our antique French marble table.

The blue leather chairs are English and they were my daughter Alexandra's from her single apartment and she didn't take them to Madrid when she got married .

Some home made cheese scones to have with the onion soup.

Some wine to celebrate America and the world.

This small water pitcher with blue is a very old from after WWI.

I decided to use blue and white Woodland-Wedgewood dishes for a special patriotic dinner.

Thank you dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for their parties.

HAPPY 4TH. OF JULY 2020

Anticipating Summer with a Strawberry Shortcake "cheater" Charlotte

Hello sweet friends !

It's been a while since I last posted, as I've been kind of busy with mother and all the household chores.

I hope all of you and your families are keeping safe, happy and healthy.

My daughter Alexandra, Sergio and her little daughters are coming for lunch a couple of days a week too, from just across the street.

They are the ones that live in Madrid, but since the COVID-19 quarantine started they have stayed in our town Cuenca-Ecuador, as they were visiting the family since last February.

I baked this gorgeous "Charlotte 'Cheater' cake."  They call it 'cheater' because of the 'Nordic Ware' pan that comes perfectly shaped to make a 'fabulous looking Charlotte Cake,' with hardly any effort, lol...

Never the less, it is delicious !

With that said.

Anticipating a happy looking Summer table for our tea time afternoon with daughter Alexandra, Sergio and her two little girls.

I used for the cake these cute and very Summery lemon plates.

'The "Cheater" Charlotte Cake' came out so pretty and delish !

I explained at the beginning of this post that the 'cheater' part comes because it's made on a 'Nordic Ware' pan that has the shape of a perfect Charlotte cake, without the effort that almost needs a professional, lol..

Ain't it peity ?!
