Dining Room Decor Transition to January

Hello sweet friends !

As most of you are, I too am focusing on my transition from my Christmas decor, which is behind us now; with all the beautiful colors left behind, to a very simple blue and white mostly, or to a more traditional decoration for January-Winter months. I'm using transferware, blues and whites, reds, etc.

I have started at the dining room, which is what I like to decor the most and that entails my love for dishes... as you know !

I also love it cause it's a big room where our breakfast and former dinner table are and thus a few buffet and dish cabinets.

With that said.

I bought flower and plant pots for decorating my transition from the holidays. to January.

My very favorite, blue and white !

My antique Egyptian glass cabinet

I'm using real plants in this room for January, to achieve a happy feel after all the Christmas color decor is gone.

The 'Delft-Imari' bowl is one of my favorite pieces.
Our blog friend Mariette asked me about this lovely hand crocheted big doily and I bought it from someone for only $20 !

In this side of the dining room is mostly decorated with blue and white.

The right side of the china cabinet with my two tier, blue and white 'Meissen' server; another favorite piece.

Oriental big plant pot in blue and white as well...and wall plates as usual.

The left side here with my vintage English blue and white bowl.

This heirloom little console is at the entrance of our bedroom and is decorated for Winter with some shells inside a blue and white 'Dutch Delft' bowl, along with the antique drug store jar with some white painted pinecones.

The breakfast dining table is flanked by two buffets and here is one with my Oriental figurines that hubby gifted me for a birthday, several years ago.

My beautiful crystal cake pedestal flanked by a "Lady Carlyle" three tier server and in the other side "Old Country Roses" three tier and plate in the same pattern to match; that was also a 'Mother's Day' gift from hubby and daughter Alexandra - Madrid, May 2017.

The other buffet at the opposite side of the breakfast table and here I went with my beloved transferware pieces.

Some blue and white dinnerware, English transferware pieces.

The red transferware tea set I love, that also has two serving bowls and 12 dessert plates, plus 12 teacups and saucers and the platter shown here.

In the center part of the buffet is my "Friendly Village" soup tureen and big platter.

Another pretty flower plant pot for our breakfast table and my shelled roos and chick.

Thank you so much dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

Three Kings Epiphany Table

Hello sweet friends !

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year 2019... and enjoyed family gatherings as my darling Alejandro and I did; along with our three grandgirls and new baby-boy Lorenzo and our two daughters, Alexandra and Sofia and SILs.

This beautiful holiday brings families such joy and fun, to children and grown ups and may the birth of our "Savior Jesus Christ" bring you, your family, the USA, Ecuador and all the countries in the world, more peaceful times. My wish specially is for human beings to get closer and believe in the, Lord our Savior, as it is the only way to the right path of life for the year that's beginning.

"December 6th. is Epiphany or Theophany, "Three Kings Day" and also referred to as "The Wise Men..." Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar--- a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of God in His son as human in Jesus Christ who brought gifts to baby Jesus in Bethlehem."

I created a table for four to celebrate this wonderful occasion which sort of ends the Christmas season, along with a delicious 'Kings Day sweet bread' that is a tradition here, as it is in Spain, where children receive their Christmas gifts January 6th., Three Kings Day, to commemorate the gifts they brought for the birth of baby Jesus.

Happy Kings Day Epiphany to all of you !

My Three Kings Day Epiphany table for four.

The Epiphany bread was delicious with a cuppa tea.

My mom will come for lunch so I used my Turkish glass chargers, white Noritake with gold trim dinner plate, a smaller entree Oriental with red and gold plate and the Noritake cup and saucer for tea or coffee with the Kings Day traditional sweet bread.

My little Three Kings figurines and a cute baby Jesus.
On my wish list is to get someday all the Nativity pieces in a 'Lladro' porcelain from Spain.

Very delicious traditional sweet bread for celebrating Epiphany.

Thank you dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE AND BLESSINGS THIS 2019,
FABBY

My Christmas Tablescape 2018

Hello sweet friends !

Well, this is my formal Christmas table setting for this year. I used the "magnolia" motiff china I brought back from Madrid while visiting our daughter last May. I loved it as soon as I saw it and I thought immediately of using it for a Christmas dinner because of all the green and white in the pattern.
I might add it's Portuguese made just for their famous store, "El Corte Inglés."

I used our heirloom 'French Art Nouveau' centerpiece my dear MIL left us, that was in my FIL's family always and it turned out it has gold initials of the family name, just as ours is, C.A.

We are going to celebrate Christmas, baby Jesus's birthday, along with the birth of our baby Lorenzo together with daughters Sofia and her family and Alexandra and her family, who is coming from Madrid to meet the new and only baby nephew.

I want to wish each one of you a wonderful CHRISTMAS, filled with joy and love, along with your dear ones and a very healthy, happy, prosperous and blessed 2019.

I used my lovely satin embroidered tablecloth and a plaid runner on top with the same tones, I found it for $1.99 on sale, lol..

The china used for Christmas this year is the Portuguese one I brought from Madrid last May; as it has mostly green and white Magnolias.

This beautiful heirloom French "Art Nouveau" I love, it's early last century, comes from Alejandro's father side of the family, thus it has the initials stamped A-C in the white oval in front of the bowl, just like hubby's and mine, reason why dear MIL left it to us. We were so lucky  !

Aren't the 'Magnolias' so pretty on the bone china plates !

I acquired two pretty bright gold reindeer candle holders several years ago and they add a bit of glitz to the setting.

Here you can see, sitting in the side table a 'St. Patrick's Cathedral,' as the one in NYC and that's why I love it.

The etched crystal stems are Venetian.

The little trees are Salt & Pepper shakers.

The beautiful antique French marble table separates the living room from the formal dining room and it's done up for the festivities as well.

You can see in this photo how the center table creates a foyer in between the living room and formal dining room, although we have an inside entrance to our apartment.
I also decorated the chandy above the table with small red wreaths on each candelabra.

As most of you that follow me know, by the window is our breakfast area table flanked by two buffets.

The chandy has small wreaths and candy canes in each candelabra to make it more festive.

"Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year 2018.

May God, in his infinite glory, bless you and yours always."

Love,

Fabby

Presenting "Baby Carlos Alonzo"

Hello sweet friends !

Last Wednesday, December 5th., we had the blessing to receive our 'first grandson,'  after three grandgirls and one on the way.... Carlos Alonso, from our dear daughter Sofia.

This sweet angel came as our family "Christmas gift !"
Our dear daughter Sofia and baby are both well, she was natural birth, a fast and easy delivery, thank goodness.

We are very thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for this gift of life and I wanted to share it with you my dear bloggie friends.

Here are a few pictures of that day and two days later our daughter went home with her bundle of joy.

I'm proud to present to you dear friends our new baby Carlos Alonso Patiño-Crespo.

Alonso is our first baby grandson, as we have three granddaughters and one on the way, two daughters and to top it all, the in laws are so excited too, because our SIL Giancarlo is their only son and they have four daughters with grandsons as well, but Carlos Alonso is the only grandboy, who will carry their third generation family name as well !

You can imagine our both families excitement with this baby boy !

Yours truly, the proud grandmama, lol..

Baby Carlos Alonso came to this world weighing a 'whopping' 6 1/2 pounds and 50 centimeters, lol..

I might add that he was almost 15 days early from his due date, which was around the 20th of December.

This is our den's mantel, all done up for Christmas with the four grandchildren stockings now.
Starting from your left is baby Carlos Alonso's, our new grand boy, Máxima 3, Cayetana 11 and Victoria, our eldest 14.

We need to add to the mantel a picture of the baby too !

Have a very 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' and many blessings for the 'New
 Year 2019.'

Dearest daughter Sofia leaving the hospital two days later with the family's "Christmas gift," her very own adorable 'little angel.'

We all feel very blessed, specially our Sofia, SIL Giancarlo and the big sisters Victoria and Cayetana.

Thank you so much dear friends for your kind comments in advance, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY
