A Harvest Thanksgiving Table

Hello sweet friends !

I finally received my newly  lacquered guest room night-tables and chairs. Next post I promise I'll be sharing all the remodel and reveal to you. It has taken longer then I had anticipated.

Here is my Thanksgiving fresh harvest table setting, I don't know if I will have to do another when the date comes, if that will be the case, I will also share it with you.

I used my Country Spanish china, along with a check throw that has the very same coloring of the plates. I spread it on top of an orange under cloth, along with some orange touches.

Now that the elections are over, we need to come together and pray for the new president elect of the USA, so he can do the best for the country that has elected him.

I always feel I have so much to thank the Lord, specially for my family and friends... and you too, my bloggy dear friends. May God bless you all.

                                     HAPPY THANKSGIVING SEASON !

On top of the under orange cloth I spread a throw that it was a perfect match with my Country dishes.
Under the plates I used my surfside chargers top of the plaid throw that matched perfectly my country china.

A pinecone holds a leaf I used as name cards for each setting.

The Lotus flower shape orange candle holders are one of my favorites and I have them for maybe twenty years and use them most of the time come Fall and Thanksgiving because of their warm glass color.

The amber stems are Italian

The fresh harvest centerpiece in a slanted fashion I made inside the surfside tray that goes with the chargers.

The long yellow veg here is a pumpkin, not a papaya, just in case, lol..
I will cook and freeze for a pumpkin pie.

Under the plaid throw I spreader a burnt orange cloth I have repurposed with tulle and another plum one that was among other pretty things in my DD Sofia's wedding sweets and desserts table.

A bottle of wine to cheer for a wonderful Thanksgiving, for the ending of this special year and may God bless the new elected president of the United States too, regardless whether he was our choice or not.

Orange glass napkin rings.

The little turkey S & P shakers look vintage, but are not.

The plaid throw has fringes, as you can see.

Thank you for your sweet comments dear friends, you always make my day!

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

October Rosary Tea

Hello sweet friends !

I haven't been able to host my monthly Rosary prayers for a couple of months, with my ten sweet friends because all the remodeling we've been doing, so they were held at mother's house twice.

I was so lucky that I had fixed the flowers and cleaned the house by the last Wednesday of October because my birthday luncheon was the Friday of the same week, (as some of you know from my last post); therefore, all I had to do is set the table for ten ladies with my Mil's gorgeous hand crocheted tablecloth and my beloved English red transferware for tea time.

The Rosary tea is held every last Wednesday of the month to pray for world peace, for the ill, for people that are going thru hard times, our families and friends and I can have requests from you as well. I will be very happy to oblige, as I have done it in the past.

I still cannot believe my Mil left us this gorgeous crochet tablecloth I've always admired in her lovely settings and beautiful house.

My beloved Red English transferware, a set for twelve place settings for tea time, plus two teapots, creamers and sugar bowl and three serving pieces.

I said at the beginning of this post that I was lucky to have fixed flowers and all cause the same week, on Friday I was gonna host my 'own birthday luncheon,' lol..

The crystal and mercury glass pedestal candle holders are something I just gifted myself...hehehe..

The figurine of two young country girls making sausages was hand sculptured by an artist at our past Ceramic Co.

The other figurine is an Ecuadorian indigenous girl making potato dumplings, also hand made at our former Ceramic Co. Monte Turi.

I thought they were cute in for the luncheon as well, that's why they're displayed in my birthday setting on my last post again.

The same arrangement done on my old German crystal basket from many, many years ago.

Thank you so much dear friends for your sweet comments, they always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.

LOVE,
FABBY

My Birthday Luncheon Table.

Hello dear friends !

Last Friday we hosted my birthday luncheon to all our siblings that Mr. Living invited, so I really did all the cooking and everything else, lol..

We had two tables set up for 13. The formal dinner table was done up for eight and the round for five.

I wanted to use my green china they haven't seen and my DD Sofia's beautiful quilted place mats she gifted me two C'mas ago. I had almost forgotten them!
I wanted a cheery table for a sunny day, so all I used for Fall here was the leaf napkin holders.

Hubby gifted me a Channel perfume and ten clear crystal- German chargers, that would've looked great under the green plates, matching the same bread plates, but the store had to order them as they only had six.
Anyway, I will do my Thanksgiving setting with them to make the Mr. happy. They are gorgeous though !

My birthday was actually October 20th., so here is my two Lunch settings from last Friday Oct. 28.

I wanted to create for my birthday luncheon a happy, day table setting for a sunny day and came up with the green china and the lovely quilted placemats my DD Sofia's C'mas gift from two years ago.

Here the place set and for Fall all I had was the leaves napkin rings.

The bread plates are German crystal and hubby just gifted me for my birthday the chargers to match, but they only had six and he bought ten for this table.

I also placed as part of the centerpiece this adorable figurine of Ecuadorian country girls making sausages.  There are two and they were made by an artist back at our former Ceramic Co.

Here is the other figurine with another country girl making potato dumplings.

The round table I fixed for five and this is the only pic I took, lol..
Italian Tognana china, pewter chargers and bread plates to match.

Although I did the cooking, it was fun and so enjoyed it. I love the company of my brother and the rest are Sils and Bils.

Thank you you dearest for your sweet comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me.

LOVE,
FABBY

Halloween Table 2016

Hello sweet friends !

Hope you all are doing great and preparing for Halloween.

I finished all the cleaning and washing and arranging all I could in the new reno quarters of the house. The guest rooms look wonderful and now I'm trying to decorate the best I can, buying new comforters, sheets, spreads and little accessories, specially for the new bathroom. Hope I can share it next week.

For the time been I was happy to create my Halloween 2016 table setting, incorporating a little of the black and white 'Mackenzie-Childs inspiration' I did lately and, some of you have seen it too. If you haven't here it is again, lol..

Here you have it.

                                       HAPPY HALLOWEEN !

For my Halloween 2016 I used a tablecloth I made back in the Summer from a piece of cloth I found on sale for $4.50. Never used it for any tablescape here in the breakfast room, I thought it was perfect for this spooky spread.

I started with an orange dinner plate, a black salad plate and the black teacup is from another set as well.

The cloche in the centerpiece is very ghoulish with that 'ugly skull' and my Mil's antique poem book and keys.

The skull has batteries and it 'screams horribly' and red lights flick thru the eye cavities... the girls love it...hehehee

A little Halloween in the buffet incorporating the new black and white check M.CH. inspiration.

The ugly skull is doubled faced, in front and back, lol..

A simple vignette in the other buffet incorporating the witch hat as center stage.

Thank you dear friends for your sweet comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties.
