Hello sweet friends !
Hope you are all well and safe.
I pray for wellness and healthiness to you my bloggy friends all my friends and family, plus everyone and every country in the world affected by this deadly 'Coronavirus'... and when each country finally opens up. I also pray its citizens follow instructions well to keep safe on the NEW NORMAL whatever that might be !
I don't know how things would be for us 'senior citizens 65 and over.' I would imagine we'd have to take more 'severe precautions' to go out, once the countries are open.
"Don't get me wrong my friends, I feel very blessed to be alive and well in the company of the most wonderful person in the world, my hubby of 45 years. Inside our comfortable home, with all the food we need and doing my chores and cooking and baking. I thank God everyday !"
As you know, Mr. and Mrs. Living are still in quarantine, until next notice; but in the meantime I took my 'Bird plates' out and decided to make a table spread that would remind me of the park and the gorgeous river banks by my home, where there are so many trees and beautiful little birds chirping away with happiness, after a rainy morning.
I guess I could go out and take a walk, but hubby doesn't want us to take any chances. So he might be right, therefore, I just watch from our windows around our 14th floor penthouse, which has a lovely view of the river running thru, smelling the delicious scent of the very tall eucalyptus trees, specially after it rains.
The 'Andean mountains' view is wonderfully serene too and the city avenue with no people, or traffic after the 2pm curfew we have here.
It did make me smile with happiness creating this tablescape and hoping some day, not to far away we can host a 'Luncheon' for the family... that's my 'wishful thinking' for today.
Keep safe, healthy and happy.
I placed as centerpiece my favorite tureen with a cute bird on the lid. Flowerless, as I didn't go out shopping myself. The tureen was made back at Alejandro's Ceramic. Co., Monte Turi. |
"Home Gallery" teacup and saucer here. |
The stemware is 'Venetian-Crystal' |
I am glad you are safe and well. We are, too...so far/so good. I am just smitten with those dishes. I think they are among the favorites you have ever posted...they are just sweet, delicate and pretty.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your home and stay safe, my sweet friend. xo Diana
Dearest Fabby,
ReplyDeleteHow elegant this Spring Luncheon Setting is!
LOVE your doxie knife rests! As you know I do love the classic knife rests as they do safe our fine table linens from getting stained.
Sending you hugs and may our prayers get answered soon.
Mariette

ReplyDeleteIt's good to know you and yours are well. Beautiful table!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Fabby, I absolutely love this table with those gorgeous dishes. It's nice to have a plan to invite family for dinner when this is over. I've been baking and creating, and setting pretty tables for two. I am working from home. I went from being busy as a bee at the office, to working in my jammies if I want to. I feel very fortunate to be able to work from home at this time. I have been watching Sandra Lee on Facebook, and she shared her favorite smoothie and a quick bread recipe on her new segment with the Today Show. Both of those items are next on my list to make. Have a good day! Deb

Fabby I'm so glad y'all are safe. This is something for sure and who knows what we will have to do to be safe. Like you we will take our time getting back out into the world too.
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful birds! xoxo Dolly
ReplyDeleteSuch a cheery and beautiful springtime table. Thanks for creating and sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous spring table! And that tureen is exquisite. Crazy times but this too shall pass, friend. Hang in there and stay safe! xo Kathleen

ReplyDeleteHappy spring,
Kippi
Fabby, what a lovely table to celebrate spring! Your tureen is exquisite and the bird plates are so cheerful. LOVE your crystal's delicate shape and etched design.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have much more stringent stay at home guidelines than we have here. Our state is suddenly opening shops, restaurants and entertainment venues and I fear a resurgence of cases. My husband and I have remained at home since the beginning of March.
Take care
Sandra @ Dinner at Eight
So good to hear you are doing well and staying safe!
