Hello sweet friends!
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. I went out with mother and Alejandro for brunch and we had a lovely time. Than we went shopping with my mom for her to choose her present and she chose a beautiful pair of earrings in silver with touches of gold. Another important holiday is over, now we'll have to wait for Father's Day; that should be fun too!
Last Friday I made for mother and Alejandro a Asparagus Pie, specially cause Mr. Living is so partial to any kind of pies, the sweet fruit kind as well as the salty ones.
I also re-decorated my Mil's parents antique English buffet with my Onion blue and white tea set, which is part of my complete dinner china. The friends that follow me remember that before, I had my red transfer ware tea set displayed here...you know how we can get tired of looking at the same things and now that Father's Day is approaching, the blue is in! Ok, here it is, hope you like it.
The other day, while I was at the drugstore I found these cute faux food, lol.. I love them inside my High Tea cloche. |
I also incorporated my new vintage English teapot with gold in the new tray vignette. This Foo-dog at your left is a male, holding a blue ball. |
I love indoor plants. |
Look at the pretty blooms in the terracotta pot I added. |
The sugar sterling and porcelain spoon was a gift my dear Sister in law brought me from her trip to France, for my B'day last Oct., perfect for this china! |
The linen hand embroidered tray-mat was a gift from my dear Mil several years ago and I love it that is blue and white, it's perfect here! I have two and the other is in the Belgium buffet. |
We also had cream of veggies and salad with the pie for lunch with my mother and hubby. My everyday dishes are 'Country-made in Spain.' The chargers are with a pretty cane woven center and from Thailand. ASPARAGUS and LEEKS PIE Ingredients

ReplyDeleteI am impressed with the painting just above the side table.
The dining set of course is nice too.
The table cloth has got the Mexican feel to it.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Fabby,
ReplyDeleteYou had no picture selected, so I chose one for you. I hope you approve.
I love all of your blue and white, especially the little spoon all the way from France from your SIL.
Thanks for joining in to Blue Monday.
Happy Blue Monday!
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's day - everything is just so beautiful - but that porcelain spoon is lovely beyond words :)
ReplyDeleteXOX
Your french urn is gorgeous! It all looks delightful, and I love your faux treats under the dome. Now, that asparagus pie really caught my eye, yum, I'd rather have that than apple any day!

Fabby, your blue looks beautiful. I love the red but the blue is a wonderful change. Your Asparagus pie looks delicious. Thank you for changing my link but the 'y' in Sandi should be an 'i'. Thank you for joining me for tea time today and leaving your lovely comments. Have a delightful day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
The asparagus pie sounds yummy and would nice for a ladies luncheon.
ReplyDeleteHi Fabby! Your vignette of the blue and white china is just gorgeous! Everything you do is gorgeous! I want to wish you a belated Happy Mother's Day! Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments on my posts while I was on my cruise.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

I love the new vignette. Your walls are beautiful with all the moulding. Your home is very welcoming.
ReplyDeleteLove the setting your created! I love the blue and white dishes and they pick up on the blue in the picture. The foo dogs are pretty awesome- I've never seen any like them! The pie looks very good. Happy belated Mother's Day wishes!
ReplyDeleteFabby, Blue and white always makes me sigh, but this arrangement is absolutely stunning, so my sigh was very big when I saw it. The blue and white cloth piece is perfect with it. I love that you added the gold teapot, and the clay flower pot to break up all of the b&w. That tea spoon is wonderful. I've never seen anything like that, and I am coveting it. laurie
ReplyDeleteHi Fabby,
ReplyDeletewhat a surprise to seee the blue and white decorations. We are in the same mood today. The blue and white patterns make a pretty vignette. I love how you displayed the china - very pretty. The Foo Dog Mom looks quite dangerous. I guess, her puppy will always be easy. Thank you for sharing this pretty setting. Have a great week.
Best greetings, Johanna
You have done a lovely vignette!
ReplyDeleteThe blue and white look great on the buffet. Have you fooled anyone with your fake desserts? The asparagus pie looks delicious. Love that porcelain spoon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - as always, Fabby! Hope you and your mum had a wonderful Mother's Day together :) Hugs Pernilla
ReplyDeleteYou come to AZ and I will make a whole cake for you!!
ReplyDeleteFirst I saw "Fabby" on your post at Stroll Thru Life, then I saw blue and white--two of my favorite blog things, Fabby! And your vignette (and the pieces you used) are so pretty! It sounds like you had a happy Mother's Day...I'm so glad. I hope you were able to see the girls at some point too, but I think they live in another area, right? And the pie sounds wonderful! Lovely post, Fabby! Carinos, ~Zuni
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue and white china and you've displayed them so beautifully! Thank you for the pie recipe! I will be making it soon!
ReplyDeleteNancy
That pie looks so delish! Love the blue and white china and spoon plus the fake food under the cloche.
ReplyDeleteYour transfer ware is so pretty. I love both colors. That recipe sounds yummy too. Thanks so much for visiting.
ReplyDeleteFabby, what a stunning post! Everything little detail is perfect, as usual! J'dore that spoon from France!!! It combines two of my very favorite things - blue and white porcelain and silver! Drool!!! The pie looks wonderful and that blue and white tray mat - wow!!
ReplyDeleteWe love asparagus, especially when it's in season like it is now. I've bookmarked this page so I can bake the pie. It sounds great, and I bet the leeks taste good in it! Yum!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your blue and white vignette, Fabby. It looks so pretty on your sideboard with the foo dogs. I've been seeing a lot of blue and white lately, and I really think that it's a classic color combination that always looks good regardless of the season.
LOVE the little spoon. So cute, and what a neat treasure to have!
Thanks for linking-up to My Happy List!
xo,
RJ
Hi Fabby, the apple and lemon cake is really easy to do, you must cut all the lemon cubes with all the peel using a cutter (I used Thermomix).you can see the second pic on my post.... there the lemon into cream and blends !! HAve a nice day , here it's almost dinner tima xoxoxoxo Flavia
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon Fabby, Your blue and white onion design is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI showed my husband the photograph of your Foo-Dogs as I knew he would love them..... and guess what...he did.
Can I ask you Fabby, the blue and white coffee pot, is that a German design, I seem to remember seeing that design when I lived in Germany during the 1970's.
Your displays are so lovely and a joy to see.
Best Wishes to you,
Daphne
Beautiful display! Party is now live and I see your link :) Newest Follower too!
ReplyDeleteHello Fabby,
ReplyDeleteYour newly decorated tabletop is gorgeous! I love the blue and white china underneath that blue image. It looks amazing. I love that little china blue spoon! I have never seen anything like that before.
Hugs,
Terri
Hi dear Fabby,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new decoration of your English buffet.
The blue and white porcelain is always a favourite of mine and here you have two famous patterns - Onion pattern and Danish Blue or Blue Denmark on the elegant coffee pot, not to mention all the other beautiful china pieces.
I love the painting, too!
After all, I love it all... including the pie!! LOL
Hugs
I am glad you had a great Mother's day. Your vignette is beautiful. You have such elegant china! I love the love and value your beautiful belongings have. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteHI Fabby! I would love a slice of that gorgeous Asparagus and Leek pie! :) Thanks for popping in to see my cruise.

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful as always! And I'm bookmarking the pie - I have a new love for asparagus. Hated it my whole life, suddenly LOVE it. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteStacy
Asparagus pie? I have never heard of that! I like asparagus. It makes a great vegetable to serves with steak and grilled chicken, and I've even shopped it up and put it in quiche, but I've never considered it in a vegetable pie. Hmmmm...sounds pretty good!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that porcelain and sterling sugar spoon!!! That is gorgeous! It goes really nicely with everything else you have on display.
I'm so glad you and your Mother enjoyed a nice Mother's Day together. Please send her my regards!
Fabby,
ReplyDeleteYour blue and white china is gorgeous- I love your tabletop!
And the lunch you made for your loved ones sounds absolutely delicious!
Fabby, the picture of you with Alexandra and Sofia is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
I love the blue and your asparagus leek tart looks wonderful. Thank you for the compliment on my mini compotes. xo
Fabby, your blue onion pieces look wonderful on the buffet. Love those foo dogs too. How wonderful those pieces are. I think the blue in the dishes, makes the blue in the balls jump out more so your eye is drawn to them. Your every day china is wonderful too, so much texture on the edges. The pie looks and sounds yummy! Belated happy mother's day. xo marlis
ReplyDeleteWe both still share our love of the beautiful Blue Onion. Your vignette is gorgeous. I am particularly enamored with the embroidered tray cloth and the porcelain sugar shell. Outstanding! Happy Mother's Day! Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteLove your buffet...Blue Onion china looks great anywhere!
