The natural sea shells for the Coquille St. Jacques. Floating candle hearts on a crystal Bohemian heart dish.
The golden Polish teacup is paired with the gold place mats, gold brass napkin rings and the dishes have gold finials as well. I love red with gold together.
I love this complete set for eight Oriental dishes with a classic Chinese sign, or signal...I always wonder what that meant...does anyone?
This cute Lucite pair of doves kissing, just perfect for lovers day! |
The red stems are from my C'mas stash and are Italian. |
Champagne and chocolates anyone? |
I'm joining Tablescape Thursdays at, Between Naps on the Porch. |
Our breakfast table top is alabaster, a softer marble stone.
HAPPY VALENTINES my sweet friends! Here is a simple, gold and red, but romantic Valentines table scape for hubby and me. I will make a nice dinner if we don't do anything and my idea for an entree will be Coquille de St. Jacques on a natural sea shells. Ok, here goes... hope you like it.
Thank you in advance for your wonderful and very appreciated visits.
Thank you lovely and gracious hostesses for having me at your terrific and fun parties!
HAPPY VALENTINES and lots of love to you all.

I have a daughter-in-law who is from Beijing, China and lived there until she married my son...maybe she can find your blog from my directions and look at that plate and maybe tell us what the symbol means!! She is very flunent in English, but spoke Chinese at home. My son cannot speak Chinese so he says it is funny to visit them...his wife has to interpet for all of them!!! She and my son live in Boston now...I will let you know...
Have a happy weekend....Hugs, Francy

The Mexico family is well and the young lady is now 16 and doing well in school. My granddaughter just turned 8 and our grandson will turn 4 in March. Times is passing way too quickly. With so much family in Mexico as far as I am concerned we don't get there enough.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

These dishes were made as a commemoration on the death of Chiang-Kai Chek.
ReplyDeletefyi: I attended the service & have 2 sets of 8 of this set.
I'm so glad it was for Chiang Kai Shek's funeral, who was not comunist and made the dishes for him specially. Incredible you attended his funerals in 1975, very impressive and you also have two sets, wow! Thank you again Francy.
