The liquor station with antique etched glasses that were from my Fil's family. My Meissen two tier with some faux and fresh fruit. |
I used silver balls as place cards. |
The napkin rings are silver plated and I like the lacy look they have. |
My inspiration for this tablescape is the New Year 2012 and my gorgeous English silver fowl cover that my wonderful hubby just gifted me this Christmas. I want to thank every one of you for all the inspiration I received this year 2011, that's almost over; for your never ending talent in tablescaping, decorating, vignette making, cooking recipes... and so much more and for been so kind and generous in sharing it with us....and for your lovely and generous comments and your visits of encouregment, for which I am for ever grateful, therefore, I can only wish for you, all my dear blog friends only the very best and I mean: good health, prosperity and lots of happiness for the new year that's about to open it's doors to us. Once again, a thousand thanks and God bless you all.
Finally, I want to thank the lovely and gracious hostesses that have let me link to their wonderful and great parties, which they share with us every week with the only unselfish purpose for us to show-off our tablescapes, vignettes, recipes and decorations. May your New Year 2012 be filled with good health, prosperity and happiness. Thank you very much.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!
FABBY

What a remarkable table I think you deserve a big A++++. I am going to steal (borrow) you placecard idea. Hope to have my table posted tomorrow.

The fowl cover is magnificent! I know that you must be so thrilled. I love that you used the drapes as a tablecloth. I'm always looking at estate sales for drapery panels that can be used as table linens, too. Such a great idea. I'm looking forward to 2012...Happy New Year! Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteSo, so, lovely! Compliments!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
Everything about your room and table is gorgeous! (Of course, as far as I'm concerned, the blue & white onion pattern is THE best.) The two-tier is marvelous; the English silver fowl cover is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have seen the ball room at your daughter's wedding. The French hurricanes fit your New Year's Eve table perfectly.
Happiest of New Years to you, Fabby!

What can I say about all the beauty of this table and of your house? You've become a master at scaping the table and the placement of your dishes, the coziness and warmth, the after dinner drink station. Your collections are beautiful, everything.

Hi Fabby! Girlfriend, I think this is one of my favorites of your tablescapes. I looked at it from my i phone but could not appreciate it as much so I had to go on my laptop to enjoy it even more. It's simply magnificent! I love your pewter chargers. I think I have only 2 of them and your hubby's Christmas present is fabulous! He sure has great taste, after all, he picked you for a wife. I have not seen my Christmas present from John yet but I got a set of hammered copper cookware to hang on my new pot rack. Back to your tablescape. I love every details, the colors you put together, the blue and white dishes, tablecloth, centerpiece, everything! Thanks also for your nice comment on my granddaughter's post. I just love her to death. She is so perfect and so precious!I hope you all have a Happy New Year!...Christine

Dear Fabby,
ReplyDeleteI really love this table. To use the shades fabric for the table cloth is one of your best ideas. I lvoe how it matches with the chairs. That makes a wonderful harmonic look. And you really know how to entertain with china, silver and crystal. I have never seen such an elegant table with the blue onion china. Thats more than perfect. And I know you will serve a glorious menue, too. What a blessing to sit on this table.
Wish you a gorgeous New Years eve and a prosperous New Year with luck, fun and health.Hugs and greetings, Johanna
So pretty~ I wish I had a knack for setting a elegant table like this, but my attempts fall short. Happy VTT

Beautiful post, Fabby! Your kind words as well as your lovely table make this a great post to close 2011. I'm so glad you had a wonderful Christmas, and I love the silver fowl cover!!! Your husband either has very good taste or knows how to take a hint! ;-) I like the way you did the napkins this time, too. Very nice with the pretty napkin rings. I know you and your family will celebrate the new year in style. Enjoy! Thank you so much for visiting my blog this morning, too. I appreciate it! I have (again!) been sick, so I have been in bed since Tuesday evening. I didn't even post on Susan's Tablescape Thursday this week!!! I'm feeling better today, thanks to my husband who prescribed the right meds for me right away. I hope to be feeling better by New Year's Day, but we have already cancelled the party for our house on New Year's Eve. I'm just not up to it all. Oh, well...there's always next year! Have a wonderful and safe weekend, Fabby!
