Hello sweet friends!
I'm so glad all of the ladies I've visited enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day weekend.
I received a very pretty set of china for eight place settings from what I thought it was from my DDs; but it so happened I did receive it from sweet Mr. Living as the girls had more personal gifts for me.
Here I placed it in our kitchen nook's table to share it, along with a delicious dessert I did for my mom's lunch today...and yes, it is easy as one two three, but don't kid yourself, it is simply delicious!
I got the recipe and Pinned it from bloggy friend:
"Ms. Toody Goo Shoes" Pan-Baked, Lemon-Almond Tart. http://mstoodygooshoes.blogspot.com
I do love my new china in emerald green and yes, it's a color I don't own.
A very pretty set of dishes made in China specially for 'Sukasa,' a great home store and with their own label 'HOUS.'
I love the wonderful things for the home they carry. Great items for decorating the home and the table, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, etc.
Here is my new set of china for eight, plus a tea set and a serving bowl and platter. |
I love the three piece tea set |
Delicious "Pan-Baked, Lemon-Almond Tart" Recipe from Blog: 'Ms Toody Goo Shoes' http://mstoodygooshoes.blogspot.com |
I love the emerald green in the china with a pretty basket weave pattern to it. |
My new Spring look on the side buffet. I like two teapots, so I added my vintage English one with some small green leaves around it. |
Thank you so much sweet and kind friends for visiting me and leaving a comment; you know you always make my day! Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties. What a gorgeous new set for your collection Fabby! I'm so glad you had a wonderful mothers day since you truly deserve it!
ReplyDeleteLove these dishes, Fabby! They remind me very much of the first 'real' set of dishes I bought when we were first setting up house (of course they were in blue though, ha). The tart sounds yummy.....love lemons and almonds!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty set, and you even got serving pieces!!! Thoughtful hubby you have!! The green is so fresh and the design so simple.....love the shape of the cups and even saucers too.....I get so tired of mugs and I never use them for guests in the dining room. Enjoy the new pretties.....
ReplyDeleteI love it its clean and simple but full of color the teapot is indeed lovely. I really like it Happy Thursday with love Janice
ReplyDeleteFabby, I love your new dishware! Sukasa is the brand, I think, of some of the tartan plaid pieces I found for the holidays. That green is just so spring, so perfect, and so is your tablescape. I saw that lemon almond tart featured in blogland and it made my mouth water - yours, too, I take it. ;)

I have been dreaming of acquiring an informal but happy looking and inducing new set. This one is perfect and very along the lines I wanted mine to be.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have family and friends that know your heart wishes even when you don't know yourself. Yet. ahahahah
It suits the joyful and happy you.
And I would never thought to mix it with more traditional piece like you did with your precious coffee pot. But then I'm no Fabby who is, besides everything else, a very adventurous soul.
Lovely and I look forward to see this set over and over in your whimsy creations.
Love,
Teresa

ReplyDeleteGreen dinnerware! I love it! When I first saw it I thought it was green with white polka dots, but I like this design so much better. We tablescapers are easy to please, aren't we? Just buy us a set of dishes.
