Hello sweet friends!
I decorated my kitchen for Fall specially cause mother comes for lunch and spends every Wednesday with Alejandro and me.
I've set a table for three, plus the Fall décor my mom loves and reminds her of Astoria-Queens, NY, in the Fall, which is my home town.
Fall is our favorite time of year where there is a four season climate and here where we live is right now chilly, but for most it feels like Fall, so yes, I feel really ready, lol!
Ok, here is my Fall Kitchen.
I fixed a lunch table for mother who always comes for lunch and to spend the day with Alejandro and me every Wednesday for many years. |
I bought two rustic ceramic pumpkins for $2.50 each; like this green one and the other in a gold tone, at your upper right hand. I found them in the 'folkloric-art fair' sale the other day. |
I also found this adorable wooden tool box in the fair for $12. |
Mother loves soup and the custom here is a bigger lunch, starting with a soup and a second meat dish, since dinner is very light. |
Some of you might remember I bought this great shell-roos back in May when we went around the coastal region of Ecuador. |
My tool box is done up with gourds and little pumpkins, blue and white dishes and red teacups, and the flatware is inside antique pewter teapot. |
The burnt orange, 'straw-shawl' hand made place mats were also bought back at our May vacation. They are hand made little daisy's. |
I love the ceramic rustic pumpkins, though! |
Looks like the rooster flew up to here now, lol.. |
The yellow and green ceramic pumpkin in the corner of the sink; is the other one I found at the 'folkloric-art market.' |
A very old tarnished pitcher is now my flower vase. |
English-Staffordshire red teapot for some tea with dessert. |
I love the blue and white transferware dishes paired with the burnt orange place mats. Thank you for visiting me sweet friends, as your comments always make my day! Thanking the lovely and gracious hostesses for having me at their great parties. ReplyDeleteHello Fabby. Your kitchen table looks lovely with the blue and white transfer ware and the sweet daisy placemats. They could pass for sunflowers too I think. :) I love the orange and blue combo. It's so nice your mother joins you each Wednesday for lunch. Blessings, Pam
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely view you have of the city and the mountains. I love the teapot, the vase, the place mats and of course, my favorite season is also Fall. Enjoy the time with your mother.

Gros bisous ☼
Beautiful tablescape...The rooster is also very regal.

ReplyDeleteGood morning, Fabby! What a nice kitchen you have! I really like the kitchen table as it is. It has a really "loved" and used look which is what I really like. It reminds me of my paternal grandparents' farm. When we sat down to that table, we knew good food made with love was coming!
ReplyDeleteYour placemats are so pretty. They have a happy look! Perfect color for fall, too!
I just love it that your Mom comes to lunch every week. Those are good times you will always remember and cherish.
Have a beautiful day!
Oh I love this Fabby! Love the mix with the oranges and blues. Most of all I love the tool box! I have a handled box but never put it to good use- this gives me ideas!
ReplyDeleteYou've blended textures and colors beautifully! What a lovely setting for your lunch.

ReplyDeleteGabby, your "Fallen" table is lovely, as is the tradition of your mother having a standing lunch date every Wednesday! I love your ceramic pumpkins, and all of that gorgeous transferware! I was just telling my husband, that I'll be Autumn-mizing our house this weekend! I guess it's time to put away the summer pillows, and beachy decorations. I'm trying to focus on the good things Fall brings, like pumpkin bread and Honey Crisp apples. And now you've inspired me to decorate a bit for the season.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine your mother's delight on arriving to find that fall has arrived in time for lunch! It's all so very pretty, and I love how you use your transferware with the fall vignettes.
ReplyDeleteEverything is so posh and fab! Lovely lovely decorations and table settings =) #ww
