A Summer Table Setting

Hello sweet friends !

Last time I was thinking of giving up my blogging and I was depressed in every sense too. My mother had fallen and was in a lot of pain and had been such work for me and I hadn't hardly time for anything besides the fact I felt I've lost my touch blogging and that I haven't much traffic, or comments anymore...so !

Anyway, taking out my fish-china for four to use it for the Summer season, I became inspired and right away I thought of my blog, as I have for so many years and got the urge to create a 'Sea themed' table for this Summer season... and just the thought gave me a little thrill to think of the plates, dishes and whatever else accessories for a table I love.

I didn't struggle with the thought on 'quitting' blogging because I don't like it, but because maybe it is time, as it isn't as it used to be when I started nine years ago, but, it relaxes me and china, dishes, all table accessories, and collecting them, etc... are my passion and it's my hobby and it sure makes me giddy to start and finish a table.

I no less discussed it with Mr. Living and he said something I find it to be so true and it's that "it is not important how many people comment or the traffic you get, as long as I have the loving kind of blogging friends that visit me and those are the ones that count.
He also said: "Just do it for your own 'personal enjoyment and fun...' who cares !"

I thought he gave me a ray of sunshine in my heart and I am going to ponder a while on Alejandro's comment about the blogging situation I'm battling with lately.

However, I have very little time because of caring for my elderly mother, so I will continue blogging very sporadically, but will be around 'blogland' to visit and see your posts.

Meanwhile, I created a 'Summer tablescape' (even though I live in the Andean mountains side) inspired by the sea and my fish china and the Food I like to make on this adorable china... and it's a 'Fish Escabeche,' salad and rice as main course and 'Shrimp Ceviche' for an entree.

                                      HAPPY SUMMER !

With that said.

I used my "Multiple Choice" Fish plates, bowls and accessories it came with, (not shown).

The turquoise 'melamine' dinner plates I bought alone in Miami last year and soup bowl where The 'Fish Stew' will be served.

The ceramic 'Indian' bowl was a gift from my dear SIL on my last birthday.
I love all the blue it has, it reminds me of the ocean, so I filled it with some of my collection of 'real  sea-shells.'

The "Meissen" teapot is one of my fav pieces I have at home, (actually all my three Meissen pieces I own are my special items) from my dish stash and it's very unique.
I bought it a few years ago at my fav European antique shop.

I placed the teapot on my 'Sea Table' inspiration setting because of the 'vessels' it has on one side of it.

The fish motif 'Multiple Choice' china for four place settings, come with bowls and large-salad plates, which I use even for a main course and a big salad bowl. In this case I am using for our Summer everyday my melamine light-blue plates.

Thank you dear friends for your kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their parties.

LOVE,
FABBY
